  1. Forget Red Fins - buy some blanks that are a little larger version of the Bomber Long-A and get after it
  2. Been a long time since December when I entered. Look forward to this thing every year
  3. Bought the King Kong a couple weeks ago. Tried it a bit yesterday, but couldn't get it to wake. It wants to swim a couple inches under the water / just low enough that it won't throw a wake. Any suggestions? I'm throwing it on braid and an 8' Flippin' Stick type rod (it's my A-Rig Rod). I am headed to Table Rock next week and love to throw wake baits this time of year. Any advice is surely appreciated.
  4. I think I could get by with 2: C-4 Dynamite (it still comes with a plastic sheath?)
  5. Beautiful fish
  6. Hey guys, One of the places I order lure blanks has something akin to Wiggle Warts for sale. He just started carrying them (had a mold built based off of an old one or something - I am not sure exactly). Anyway, I had 10 delviered to the house last night (simply for Quality Assurance purposes, of course), and they pass the eye test. Haven't painted / fished them yet, but they look good. What are the rules for posting a link to a business on here? I certainly appreciate what Mr. Phil does for us here, and wouldn't want to disrespect that.
  7. All this up and down weather ought to make for an interesting Oakley Big Bass in a couple weeks. I can't wait to get back up to the Rock!
  8. I'll second what brother Aaron mentioned about the entire day last year. Especially the second part of the day when I took Miss April out for a while. We had so much fun that we were late getting back to the group! Very rewarding day - I hope everyone that reads this makes plans to attend.
  9. Love mine as well!
  10. PM sent. Thank you!
  11. That is going to be a busy day on Bull
  12. I lovingly refer to Jason's boat as the "Burrito". It just kinda came to me when I first saw it. I realize I am a nobody on a message board, but I'll still go on record as saying it's a really good boat that has been pampered
  13. If you are referring to any time we took the burrito out, I was 325-350lbs.
  14. Yes sir, I agree with you. Well said (err - typed).
  15. "It ain't the size of the fish in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the fish....." "That shad looks like the one that slapped my Mama...." "Nemo!" "Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!" That's all I got, boss....
  16. 57lbs2oz
  17. Forgot about them for a sec - thanks for reminder! Order placed
  18. Now dang it Scott, I was trying to run low on fuel on purpose because I hadn't run less than half a tank at any time in the last 18 months and wanted to get most of the fuel out to replace it with a fresh batch - I just ran ALL the way out. I am an overachiever :-) I'm going to go get some fuel, put in at 86 bridge, see if the Rock will let me borrow a few bass to photo. Maybe the Oil' girl will feel sorry for me being dumb yesterday and send a few fish to me..
  19. Jason, you, of all people know that I married WAY above my head. I don't worry with how or why Miss Sherry said "Yes" 11 years ago, I just thank God every day and leave it at that
  20. So...... I got to Moonshine Beach around 4:30 this afternoon. Ran to Cow Creek, mainly 'cause that's kind of my tradition Around 6:30 or so, I heard the clouds rumble and decided to outrun the storm back to the Tahoe. I learned that my fuel gauge is a little off - as I ran out of fuel on the way back. Spent that whole 7:00 storm on my hands and knees working the trolling motor lol!! Long story longer - My AWESOME bride decided that I need a 112lb trolling motor - tomorrow
  21. Fellas, sometimes the internet literally makes me giggle. I was looking at a couple different weather sites (plus the app on my phone) this morning trying to decide if I should leave the house at 4:30 (Springdale, AR - 90 min or so) to head towards the Rock, or leave later in the day - depending on the weather of course. Anyway, I got there different ideas from three different sources so I thought I'd ask anyone on here that might be in the area
  22. I mentioned the other day that our 5 year old wanted to go to our "Branson House" and go fishing this weekend. Did I mention that she also reminded me that "Princesses like to fish with pink baits that are wearing tiaras"? I did my best Just sharing a fun daddy story this evening.
  23. Where did I put that "Like" button.... I really enjoy your posts - but some even more than others!!!!
  24. Thank you for sharing! I have been messing around with some colors (after watching the crawfish videos posted recently). Can't wait to get to Tablerock next Thursday to see if I figured something out or if I have been sniffing too many paint fumes after work
