  1. Reminds me of an oldie but a goodie: 3 keys to a successful marriage - Marry her young Treat her rough Don't tell her anything And the best part - The man that used to tell us young guys that (in jest, of course) was a husband that lived for his Lord, his Wife, and his Children first - but the saying has always stuck with me lol
  2. On Beaver, after good rain / snow melt - I like newly flooded brush
  3. 6(A): As information is learned from more experienced anglers, make sure to ask what information you can pass along, and what was taught in confidence. Many times over the years I've been taught presentations or locations that aren't widely known. But, as I stayed true to my word of not telling others, I was awarded with more and more info / instruction. I think it's perfectly OK to tell another buddy "I was shown how to catch these particular fish by a buddy that asked that I keep the info confidential."
  4. Dang, Champ, thank you! Hearing that from you is quite an honor! One thing I forgot to add is that I'll also use a really large (6mm) oval split ring for the line tie. Helps with keeping the head down, but also helps the lure be a little more erratic. These blanks that I buy don't always want to suspend nose down, so I've had to do some experimenting
  5. I put a #4 hook on the front and #6 hooks on the middle and rear hangers. Also will use a split ring that's a couple sizes larger on the front hanger as well. Lastly, if the lure I'm dialing in is particularly stubborn; I'll add a strip of lead tape between the mid and front hangers
  6. You betcha! And they're still biting (or I am biting) - Supposed to get another round of plasctics in Friday LOL.
  7. I caught a 5 or 6 pound catfish on Swepco last weekend (jerk bait - THAT was a tussle) Nothing of value to add - just visiting
  8. Hey now! I said 1135! Maybe that's just filling up the ditches :-)
  9. I worked today, but came home to a box full of new plastics ;-)
  10. Rotisserie roller from Lowes thatvobe would buy for their grill.
  11. I'm not picky - I throw all kinds of colors lol!
  12. I am in agreement on limb lines
  13. I resemble that remark.. Um, 1135? I am not very good with lake levels (just another thing I need to learn).
  14. Whatever - you were stone cold snoring at 3:15....
  15. We'll have fun :-)
  16. I caught a pretty good Walleye yesterday on Alabama Rig. Took his picture, told him "Stay away from Jason and Scott if you know what's good for ya" and turned him loose :-)
  17. I can't even catch a great big fish on a video game
  18. I was actually able to get a few hours of lake time yesterday early afternoon. Caught 20 or so; just about all came on a crankbait. Did have a couple on top water (watching the big shadow stalk the lure before the strike is AWESOME). Best fish (5.00 - 5.50lbs) came on a black / blue jignpig. I was up by the dam, and saw most of the fish before they hit whatever I was throwing - was just an amazing day. I wanted to hit one more spot before dark - but my lovely bride came into the spare bedroom and told me it was time for bed so that I'd be up in tim efor work this morning. Soon as I get home this evening I'm firing up the Playstation3 and heading back to the lake
  19. I dunno, but I'd imagine everything has been biting all day
  20. I still think you should use the bench seat out of a '67 Chevy 1/2 ton. That would be awesome!
  21. I thought there was something wrong last year, but the OBBT Staff helped me reset my options to accept texts.
  22. Didn't have to stay up until midnight... Table Rock and Grand registered!
  23. LOL! I've been keeping up with all you Table Rock brothers and sisters!
  24. Oh.... Thank you for the info!
  25. Amen! November 29th I'm signing up for Table Rock and Grand - unless I win the Facebook deal :-)
