  1. I'd been up there the last five years or so in a row in the spring but didn't make it this year. Maybe this fall. A buddy of mine went up in July and told me the algae was terrible.
  2. Nah tehcoop, it's not Monte Ne. Interesting story though.
  3. I really wasn't making much of a point there Mark. Just was razzing Jerry. Poor guy... hope he knows what a 401k is and what to do with it.
  4. ...says he who drinks whiskey with his pinkie poking out.
  5. This just in! The uni's suck... Gayjocks suck (c'mon... Rice?)... Bill Snyder's the man... Mizzou needs to recruit... Alabama will go undefeated and win it all. Again. And that REALLY SUCKS.
  6. No it's not. I love the Rockies in September. Aspens are turning and it's beautiful. I've seen plenty of Elk out there and it's awesome.
  7. I echo what Gavin said above. Too low for me up there right now.
  8. I'd stick with Slabtown down to Ross. Besides, you're in the trophy area. Boiling Spring to Mason Bridge should be fine up river, but personally I've never cared too much for the Mason to Slabtown float. Floated Dogs Bluff to Mineral Springs last June in my canoe with a buddy of mine in back along with another friend who was solo. It's a great float, but I'd hold off until there's more rain. Baptist down has got to be low now. Issac didn't do much down that way. Hope some of the local guys chime in for ya. As for me, I'm heading to the Jacks Fork saturday morning!
  9. That's probably why t Probably why the Guist brother croaked...
  10. D-Bag's probably gonna go out and buy a bigger/faster boat. That way he'll know that he's safe...
  11. I just don't understand it...
  12. Thought you were referring to something else (politically natured). My mistake bud.
  13. I almost bit on it Jerry. Almost. Whew that was close.
  14. Over 5 inches in isolated spots around KC this morning (including downtown). It poured all night long until around 11 or so this morning but the low pressure center has finally moved east some. Got the Mizzou game on PPV tonight. Hope the skies over Columbia don't soup up... want the Tigers to be at full throttle!
  15. JD, I saw a great movie sequal last night. "The Good, The Bad, and The Senile". Best comedy put out in a while...
  16. Gonna do some spelunkin' close to home this weekend since the weather's bad.
  17. I agree. Looked at the Big Piney after Rapp's post... in his defense he'd posted NWS out of Springburg. Time for them forecasters to quit wearing overalls.
  18. I'm in the Richard Simmons Fan Club so I sent him a gallon. He'll be sweatin' for weeks (and be off the grid).
  19. One just N.E. of St. Louis as I type. But I type slow... warning probably canceled an hour ago.
  20. Pidgeons... Ness sees pidgeons every morning when he heads to work. Sorry Ness, hang in there with FF.
  21. Pidgeon Forge! I'd use Dolly Parton flies. Doesn't matter what color... she wears a coat of many. Have a great HM buddy...
  22. Call the sheriff Buzz. Looks like Prater's been trespassing again...
  23. I'm sure they tossed many a ball into the wee hours of the morning Wrenchie. I'm gonna PM ya bud... things have changed for me for the good!
  24. None of us are Empire State Building Security is my guess and... uh... they failed big time as far as that fiasco went. Me and my wife and another couple floated the Big Piney years ago and came across a bunch of flaming gays playing with a blown up ball. All of them wearing speedo's and screaming like little girls. I'd rather pass a meth head camp... maybe if I wore speedo's they'd leave me alone.
