i just looked in the arkansas fishing guidebook . there is nothing at all as far as size or limits for yellow perch. only thing is says is the arkansas state record yellow perch is 1.8 lbs nice size perch but they get alot larger in lake michigan. around hammond,in. 2-1/2 ,3-1/2 lbs thats whats called a jumbo size last time i fished for them bait of chose has been soft shell cray fish. just use small bits . like just the meat in a claw arm. but that was way back in late 50's except for the hammond, indiana . area bigger ones are in that area don't know why ill has or chicago has s limits and indiana don't. but yummm tasty fish. you like walleye you'll love perch.

Bob Pauletti (870-656-3350) with Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock said bass fishing has been good. Spoons, cast up to the bank and worked back to the 25-foot range has been the best technique. The top-water bite is also good early and late in the day. A jig-and-pig, hula jig or a grub on a ¼-oz. jighead will work well on smallmouth. Night fishing has really picked up, with crankbaits, spinnerbaits and jigs the most effective.
