  1. Should be fixed man.
  2. Welcome to the area. I am about 10 minutes away, so if you need to talk fly fishing, drop me a message.
  3. Welcome to the area. Streamers on Beaver are highly effective. Current+a toad=a major reel workout. Floating it on low water is no problem at all. There are a few shallow spots, but it is very much doable. It makes for killer sight fishing as well.
  4. Welcome to OAF!!!! If you ever see a drift boat being towed by a Subaru, be sure and wave. Good to have another local on the forum.
  5. Been using the AgentX stuff from Rio for a while. Cleans the line and helps with divots. Keeps is slick as snot.
  6. We always get together at a few places Christmas morning. Brunch at my uncles with large breakfast, mimossa's, and dessert. Open a few gifts and enjoy everyone being under one roof. Early dinner and my grandparents with the other side of the family. Setting around the fireplace and seeing everyone. It's honestly the holiday I look forward to all season. So great seeing everyone at one time.
  7. Ummmmmm.......hello!!!! A drift boat obviously!!!!
  8. Have you ever rowed a drift boat on slower water? Much easier than a canoe IMO. I have had mine on all kinds of water w/o any trouble. Plus I am msure you intend on taking it on other water than that 7mi stretch. Just some stuff to think about. Looking forward to watching the progress.
  9. No problem. Be sure and post a report when you get back.
  10. Hope some of that helps a little. The Dam Store can help with a shuttle if you don't have two people going. Another option, especially if there isnt much planned generation, is to park at Parker Bottoms and launch your boat there. Then you can row upstream as far as you want to fish. River left on up the river from Parker is great fishing. Don't let upstream worry you.....you shouldn't notice hardly any flow. From one Zack to another.....best of luck.
  11. Give the guys at Ozark Mtn Trading Post a call. They have some killer deals on boats all the time. http://www.ozarkmtc.com/
  12. I am going to try to make it up this year Phil. 2010 had me working way too much.......need to start 2011 off right.
  13. The lake level is 115.37 feet and there is very little to no generation. Midge pupa patterns in gray, tan and olive are working best. Sowbug/scuds are good bets also. Don't forget your small streamers such as Woolly Buggers in olive and black. Fish seem pretty wary, so long leaders are a good idea. Lots of active browns....I understand they are on the beds currently.
  14. Ken and myself should be there. We are hauling tying gear as well.
  15. Good looking fish Adam. There are sure some big ones hiding down there.
  16. As did I. To help the OP, I have been very happy with the Redington reels I have had. Also use Ross and Orvis. It's kinda a Ford/Chevy deal. Get into a shop and see what feels good in your hand. FWIW. Ross has a lower end Flyrise.....same high end drag as the Evolution but not as fancy a finish. They work very well for all the fishing I do.
  17. I guess I have been very lucky with the tippet. Orvis has some very good quality tippet. I believe they still post a production date on the spools, so you have an idea of how old it is upon purchase. Just a thought. Best of luck on your search.
  18. I have some Stroft. If I remember correctly, Rajeff was very high on it. Seems like very good stuff. I havent noticed a ton of difference, but haven't really tested it side by side with others. I lean toward Rio products when it comes to tippet. Powerflex and Flouro.
  19. I have heard my great grand father tell stories about building the park. He drove a dump truck hauling rocks down there. I am going to copy these pictures and take them too him. Very cool.
  20. Indeed they can. I also use the nail polish. I also will rub the fly on some moss or a rock in the water to subdue mine or a tying materials scent. Just a thought.
  21. This is a brand new TFO Prof 9' 6wt fly rod. Only been lawn cast, never fished. Has warranty card and sock. $100 plus shipping. Had a few bills jump up and need some extra cash. PM me with any questions.
  22. They do tend to spoil you. Great looking boat!!!
  23. Welcome from NW Arkansas. Looking forward to your input here on the board.
  24. I'll be the first to admit......I laughed uncontrolled for about 30 seconds. That's good stuff!!!!
