Buschman I will also be down at Lilleys this coming week Will arrive down there on July 25. I am hoping to get lots of fishing in also. I will be staying with the misses in cabin 6. Daniel is my name maybe we can try get some fishing in together. Daniel

Well it is definetly going to be cold for sure. At this posting 25 witj a wind chill of 11 degrees. They a lnch or two of snow on the ground. Wind whipping it pretty good too. The road for most are clear and a few slick spots. The stream looks up and not clear on friday. I did not make it down on saturday Just be careful in the morning. I will be down for opening day. Have not missed one in 30 years and is always fun, I can still remember my first one and if you have never been there, You are in for a real treat. Giving thought to heading down for the weekend. Hope things are not to bad in the park. I imagine the water is still high and fast. Well no matter going anyway lol. Have not been able to fish since opening week. Time to get away and relax alittle bit. Weather not looking to bad little cooler than it has been but oh well. Just back from the stream. Water looked a little high compared to last fall.I saw lots of fish up and down the stream. Water was a little off olored but still able to see the fish. Saw lots of nice ones but no big wall hangers lol. The stream in general looks great. See all omorrow Dan

I am going opening day. I fish the first hole as you come into the park. I wear a cowboy hat with lots of pins on it. I also plan on having my portable fireplace next to stream. My vest has name on back Dan. Hope we get chance to swap aome stories.

Been down last several days. The stream conditions are extremely clear. Water levels down from the normal. Seen some really nice fish being caught. Several things (bait) being used. Jigs, worms, powerbait and so on. On thursday the 26th nice brown just shy of 4 pounds and nice rainbow at 6 pounds. The fish been biting both ways slam and nibble. Weather has been little bit of a issue with the clouds and rain last several days. The derby day forecast looks pretty good right now anyway. Local papers stated that a 100 lunkers will be released on saturday. I am sure saturday will be packed with folks.

The stream was extremely high. The water was rolling big time. The stream was extremely muddy. Bright colors and scent worked for the most part. Caught a few but had to work at it. I sure hope things improve for Kids Day which is next Saturday May 20, 2006.

Yes Kids days will be held on May 20,2006. I am a member of the Marames Springs Trout Fisherman's Association. We had 1846 kids participate in the program last year.We had a great time with all the kids.The group is hoping to make this years kids day even better.We are always looking for new members to join us and welcome you. A link can be found at Maramec Springs Trout Association. I think a single membership is only $ 5.00. The kids day program involves several groups. We always need sponsors support with prizes and financial donations. Hope to see lots of parents and kids this year.
