  1. Kenny and I put in this morning around 7 at Aunts Creek. We started out with Kenny throwing a wart and myself throwing a stick bait. On the first stop Kenny picked up 1 very nice keeper spotted bass and 1 short spotted bass and I picked up 1 walleye, 1 keeper spotted bass, and 1 short spotted bass. I was very suprised that I caught a walleye. It is the first time I have ever caught a walleye on Table Rock. Everyone will be happy to know that he was returned to the water after Kenny snapped a picture of me with it. Next we moved to a creek arm where we had caught a bunch of fish a couple of weeks ago on a drop shot. We spent about hour in that spot with a big goose egg to show for it. We moved to our next location and I picked up a dandy smallmouth on the stick bait and Kenny picked up a nice keeper largemouth on the wart. We decided to try a jig for a while and went to 2 other locations and struck out on both. By now it was 11:00 and I had to take Kenny back to the ramp so he could go to a family get together. After I dropped Kenny off I went to another spot and tried a drop shot which resulted in 6 short spotted bass. I decided to try one more spot with the stick bait before I went home. I picked up 1 keeper spotted bass and one short spotted bass. I had the boat loaded on the trailer by 1:30. The action wasn't fast and furious but it was enough to keep your interest.
  2. I have been a member hear for over a year and I never knew there was a hunting forum. I never made it past the fishing section. Did anybody have any luck in Taney County. Here is a doe my son shot during youth season and a buck I harvested during rifle season.

  4. Its been pretty slim on fishing reports so I figured I would post mine even though it is not much of one. I put in at Aunts Creek today around 10:30. I figured with the cloud cover I could scrounge up a few on top water first thing but no such luck . After spending about an hour with the spook I figured I would run out to the main lake to try some drop shoting. On the way out I saw a few loons sitting in the mouth of a cove so I stopped and graphed a big school of bait. I ended up catching six spots which all were around 12" in length on a white spoon. From around 1 to 4:30 I only picked up one more small spotted bass on a football jig in 12' foot of water off a dock. From 4:30 to about 5:15 was when the action picked up. I picked up 3 keeper spots and 4 shorts on the spook off of docks sitting on chunk rock banks. Today was the first time I have been out in almost a month. I was about burned out on deer hunting and it was nice to be back on the water.
  5. Eric, That color is actually American Shad. Table Rock Shad has a purple back and somewhat faded chartreuse sides. The american shad and aurora black are probably my two favorite colors to throw.
  6. My buddy and I went out of Aunts Creek this morning. We fished from daylight till 11:00 AM. The fishing wasn't as good as I thought it would be. We ended up catching six total with 2 of them being keeper size. We had the two keepers on spooks within the first hour after daylight. We fished windy main lake and secondary points with a blade shallow and a jig deep and couldn't come up with anything. I hope the rest of you had better luck than we did this morning.
