Nice report and interesting that the Vladi was successful. My first big brown on the Current had a snag hole. I have also caught 'bows with holes on top, probably heron attacks.

Got some good stuff in a larger pack at BPS, only comes in olive, black and white though.

Only ran into smallies once down from Baptist. Landed one down from Parker's on a rubber legs. Trout are skittish, but catchable. Small flies and indicators. May want to use a dry for the indicator and drop something small down. It will take more rain to bring the river level up. I've seen guys land trout after trout with a small Rapala also.

Nice report/pics on the blog again. Jedi and I fished on the 10th. The universe still has constants, Jedi out landed me 2-1, including a nice brown at 16". I matched him though with a beauty 'bow at 16". We fished below Tan Vat and Baptist. Small flies and some stealth paid off. Another great post by you TN.

Both front/rear hooks need schlappen palmered along the shank. Not the original recipe, but fills out the fly nicely. Your fly is a solid early attempt. Study some pictures of variations. I palmer along the shank, and put marabou wing on top, like a Peanut Envy w/o the cone head. It makes a bigger profile. Go to Kelly G.'s site. Keep working at it, it will come.

Hopefully he will get over taking the fish after a few more. I used to take quite a few, then stopped for good. He'll mature.

I've used Senyo laser dub inplace of wool. it can also be trimmed.
