  1. What happens when you break an early 1970's glass rod from them ? I have one... I don't flog it around much.. just curious. ( it used to belong to Gary LaFontaine ) Brian

  8. "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"> Watch the white rock --- you can clearly see the fish's mouth. Not open.

  11. That guy is nuts. Man.. thats the single most weirdest story I have ever read. That guy ? What a fruitloop! Great post Leonard. Make sure to click thru a little bit on this one... shesh, he has BIG brass balls. cheers, Brian
  12. South Platte in CO.. Humboldt area to be specific. Below Deckers. Phil and I hiked in Chereseman one year .. maybe 1996 or so...I got a coupla of pics of him casting on a boulder... really nice. The boulder was like 30 feet large. I drove there myself 4 years in a row after that, camping it out mainly. I woke up one morning after sleeping in the river parking lot in my truck to see AK Best, Ed Engle and John Geriach drinking coffee 3 cars down from me. I was shocked. AK gave me some flies... an Evettes spinner pattern was the bees knees! best fishes, Brian
  13. My total of 11 are sold out. ALL GONE. How do we delete these threads when they are done ? Brian
  14. Great bump on this topic TX... I am eager to hear what they have to say. The sound would drive me nuts... but if it really does float higher and pick up faster... and also wear better than any other line on the market today.. I would give it a try myself. $100 on a flyline... kind of a tough pill though..... Brian
  15. At least its easy with the dummies that use similar catch phrasey types of slogans for names. I wonder if you can make it more difficult to get in the front door.... like a questionairre of real easy fishing questions..... just an idea - Brian
  16. To answer the question posted, its probably one of the ' gold medal ' quality water rivers here in MO. Looks like it could be the North Fork of the White to me. Maybe Niangua.. or Eleven Point. Or some private water on Crane... hard to tell. Cool video though... FUN to watch those crazy guys with thier arms in the water. Brian
  17. Its a pig.. its a tank.. its a big old linebacker of a trout.. with big shoulders - makes you just want to tackle it down and wrestle with it. If it makes it up the ladder the guys at MDC will not use it. Its just such an old fish.. nothing much would be of use.. (bad eggs probably). Without a doubt - this is the most fun I have ever had watching a trout. Not too often do we get to study a fish of this size for this long up close like this. Usually you can spot a really big fish in the fall hanging out in one area for a while... but water changes and mood and angling pressure can alter everything. This fish just loves it in chute 3 right by the ladder. It'll be sad to see her go whenever that time comes. BY the way, here is the first video I shot of her. Watch the white rock : Just click on Monday Thanks for checking it out - Brian
  18. Yes.. thats the fish swimming above the white rock... right after I say.. " I wish I could see its mouth open" ... you can see the image come into view.. and the tail of the fish sliding thru the white of the rock. Viewing in Hi-Quality makes all the difference in the world. This fish is huge... maybe not the 30 inches I have stated before.. but the girth is just sickening.. I still say 26 inches or more. I'll go with 30 length.. 26 girth. This video was taken at chute 3 right below the ladder. If you open up my you tube channel.. I did a few more videos the same day. On the damage to the bridge.. and the fish... It was around 3:30pm Monday. thanks for checking out the video guys - Brian
  19. Direct LINK to ESPN article This is really well done. Quite informative. Includes interviews with MDC's top brass. Its on the very front page of ESPN's E60 section right now. Brian
  20. if you can see it high def quality - you'll see what I mean here is my channel on you tube.. for me it plays all in high quality Visit My Website
  21. I wonder how long they will have to keep the gates open. Also, I believe this is the first time I've noticed all gates and not 110% of capacity on all 4 units. Does sound like fun again.... not having any idea what is going to pull on the end of the line. Brian
  22. nice nets.... quality above most i've handled. idea to make an " Ozark Anglers 2010 " net ? Brian
  23. Funny last second or two.... I thought you fell over in the boat on your head... I was waiting for an " Ouch! " .. thankfully I didnt hear one... Brian
  24. The Cardinals clinch the pennant -- the Cardinals clinch the pennant -- the Cardinals clinch the pennant~! Wait -- is that red.. or green ?? or brown ? ANYWAYS.. good for them.. they deserve it!
  25. Phil - to my understanding.. the browns they got at the hatchery never took... not in the conventional hatchery setting.. they all died out rather rapidly and would not ' take ' .. in so many certain words. I was there with Bill and James one day looking at them... they were very wild and very difficult... they would bash there heads in the walls of the 10ft round plastic ' raceway ' they were being held. (that was when the numbers were way down) If these are the same fish I am thinking about.. only like 36 survived out of 2000. Brian
