  1. FishnNut, I agree with your statement, I to have fished w/ Mike on several occasions, always eager to help out and straight shooter.
  2. Conman, Whites are on the main lake points in the dam area, shallow when the wind is blowing. Also, look for the shad close to the shore on these points direct sign the whites/hybrids are there. It was windy this weekend, but didn't help me none fishing for largemouths!
  3. The "Fish House", I like the White River such and such Co. or whatever it was... Well, whatever the name, sounds interesting.
  4. Hey Branson guys, when is the restaurant at Bass Pro going to open? It looks really nice, just curious? thanks,
  5. Lake of the ozarks to, jus t found a new colony in different part of the lake!
  6. Secondary report on whites from reliable source said catching whites main lake points with direct wind, jigs, cranks and topwater baits catching most of these fish. This is between the Gravios and dam.
  7. Bill Beck I think with almost 16lbs. Congrats to Bill. I heard he was fishing deep, but just heard...
  8. Don, I hear the small mouth are starting to cooperate? How rain have you all received?
  9. I found this on another forum, thought it was quite interesting. Didn't know what was going on from those of you who spend several days fishing there a week. I do not know source of this info, but thought I would share. "Men; I just got back from a week at the Rock, but I have some disturbing news. I was told by some locals that they had been seeing large dead bass floating up on flat creek and on the james above cape fair. So I took a ride to look for myself. They were telling the truth as I did see some floaters and they were indeed good size fish and they were covered with large sores. I caught a couple of keepers that had sores on the sides of their bodies. These sores were about the size of a quarter and were open wounds.... fish were obviously sick with very little energy. I suppose this could be some other illness, but I did not see any spots or small mouth with anything similar. Has anyone seen these symptoms??"

    BBQ

Does it have a name, I am up for anything. All you can eat is superior!!!
  11. Good luck. Taking out the boss is risky!!! I always take mine in the Spring when they a biting like caged rabbits!!!
  12. Crappie this time of the year can be tough, hit and miss. I would concentrate on the brush, mainlake preferably will give some perspective. Then transition to the backs. There are good shad populations in the creeks of small threadfins.
  13. Fish LOTO more bikinis!!!
  14. Hopefully, this project will help improve the largemouth populations. I am all for it, providing the intentions are pure.
  15. I hope your not on here looking for sympathy... Remember you get to fish for a living! Besides you guys can't wackem' everyday. take care.

Okay, let me ask this...I assume the Dana's in Kim City is part of the same chain??
  17. Whopperstopper, Not to plug my friends book or nothing, but he wrote it specifically for LOTO. I believe he writes for Crappie World Magizine?? His name is John Neporadny. Here is the link. www.jnoutdoors.com I bought his book for crappie fishing info, it is good reading. Good luck.

    Fall Trip

I was in the Gravios section, but either locations you all are staying should be fine. There are alot of shad in the backs of the creeks, sometimes this time of the year your better to put the trolling motor down and just start fishing.
  19. Bill, Do they have any of the results posted?
  20. Surely there can be some good from this brush pile project. It works at Lake of the Ozarks (mature lake). I agree with taxidermist, the logs work better than the cedars. Most avid brush builders here try to use large logs with a split off or fork. However, I do see the ease of using cedars vs. large cumbersome logs. Two cents.
  21. Not sure what the heck is going on...fishing for me is just fair. Did catch a lot of fish this weekend, but not very many big guys. Most shorts, with a few "just" keepers to say at least we caught a limit. All these fish were either dock or wood related. It was cloudy with a slight breeze, oh, it did rain like 4-5hrs!!! Caught fish on everything from a buzzbait, spinner and jig. Jig fish were caught flipping. Water temps. 66-70. Wish the water would cool down.

    Shorty Smalls

Food Poisoning?? Interesting... Over-saturated is the truth! There is a restaurant on every corner. It is truly amazing. Kind of like Rio Bravo, how many restaurants have been in that building.
