  1. I am not sure they are for sale via the internet. Home made jig by a gentlemen lives down at Bull Shoals. This guy is the smallmouth king!!!! These jigs work, but getting your hands a couple is the real mystery.
  2. Thanks for the info. I did hear the same thing about LCD over Plasma. P.S. I heard great things about Samsung?? thanks,
  3. Fishing continues to be good while they generate water. Most fish I am catching are in the brush or just above in 12-15ft of water. The deep diving crank bait has been the best choice, in chartruese patterns. These brush piles are generally main lake related. Water temps low 80s, lake near full pool. Watch for floating debris during generation, it usually makes it's way to the middle of the channel. later,
  4. Addition: Zeke Horne's smalljaw jigs.
  5. Rusty, We are in the same boat, but I am still deciding on LCD vs. Plasma. I want to hear thoughts? Noticed your from OK, how is Grand? Flooded?
  6. Bruce and Rodney at Tangoras marine got my vote (nixa), but if you have warranty probably doesn't matter. Ulrich might work for you?
  7. Brian, Cool report. We had to cancel our June outing. Was all excited aboutt that trip. Just got me some 1/8 oz buzzers to show em' up!!! later,
  8. Cool report.
  9. Bill is pretty much right on with the settings. I have the new x17M. There is one GPS setting you can do to increase/decrease how often the signal finds your location; which allows it to read more accurately of response times. Although, it is really not necassary if you fish the big water, maybe only the skinny water like in the river.
  10. Fished the Gravios this weekend. All fish were in the brush, 12-15ft. Football jig and DD22s. We had ten or so keepers, not many shorts and a couple crappie to boot. Mostly main lake structure is what we fished.
  11. I'm a little slow. That was a good one. J.E., I love that movie!!!
  12. I am glad that is all over with. That is the reason I came over here from the other forums and has ultimately led to the other's lack of success. Back to why we are here: Caught fish on the rock still with the split shot and rig, a little deeper. Can catch some spook fish on the flat, flat, flat, main lake pea gravel, mainly smallmouth (early). They don't always get it, but it's fun to watch them try. Like a white shark after a baby seal.
  13. "Magic Tree" I love that, what a deal!!! Just think how many of those spots really exist, just ask Capt. Rick.
  14. Only problem up here in Central Mo when the MO floods it brings lots of sand to those bottom fields and is not necessarily a good thing.
  15. Horse and Buggy or bicycles seem the right thing to do!! Gas in Central MO 3.29 - 3.39/gal. Diesel looks attractive now.
  16. SKMO: Won't be long the drop shot will be in full force, sounds like it is already beginning in some areas. I will be trying it more this week.
  17. Bill: This will make you happy on two seperate locations white bass blitz was on in the K-city area, long (shallow) gravel points. I haven't seem this in years (the large area of water boiling). Threw the sammy, had one eat to his arse, and saved him. All were good quality, fish were way off the bank behind were normal people fish and didn't stay up to long. take care,
  18. SKMO, good job, fished in Baxter on Sunday, found several bedders, several cruiser, but really thought the c-rig and Split shot bit were tough. take care.
  19. The heartland derby this weekend was almost unbelievable if I had not seen it with my own eyes. The buddy tournament took almost 23lbs to win, 16.20 something to get your money back (33rd), not to mention the top 15 places were all over 20+lbs. On record probably the most fish and weight that I have ever witnessed. Most who spoke said the jig bite was on anywhere you threw it. We fished on saturday (H-Deck) had 8 keepers, best five would have got at least our money back (if we fished the derby). All on a jig and all relatively close to main lake points. Sunday didn't dissapoint either, completely different day with the sunshine. No word on crappie, haven't been.
  20. I can't remember if I posted this in another forum so please excuse any duplication. Will be staying in Douglas county around the 14/95 HWY junctions. Would appeciate any information or advice for a nice 1/2 to full day floats for group of say ten (adults) with full services (rentals, hauling, etc.) I have several options in mind, but would be interested in your vote. Most appreciated. CMAC.
  21. Is it close to the Island/hump? I figure maybe topwater or dragging something possible sight fishing. thanks for the help.
  22. Yea buddy, that section is awsome, I dare you to get out of your canoe and wade through the confluence of that creek! That is one of my favorite stops on the trip!!! Brian is right, once in awhile some dandy trout can be caught!! I can't take it, I must get down there. Fred, Ever fish with an Eakins jig, 3/16oz with zoom critter craw as the trailer? Probably not a good choice since there will be alot of canoe dragging and such, you would get hung up to much!! Later,
  23. Anyone know whats going on in the Buck Creek or HWY 125 area? Coming down in May (first weekend) for some LM, SM and KY fishing? Thanks.
