    Original 3:10 or the Russel Crowe one? Original is really good. More tension, less blood.

    Geez -- I gotta get to work. I've got this thread, IMDB and Amazon Prime (for trailers) going. This could chew up my whole day! I've probably added 10 to my big list from stuff on here I overlooked. Here's one more I haven't seen on here yet -- Hud. Dang, that's a great movie. Watch the trailer on Amazon if you care.

    Yeah, I pasted my list on the first post and tried to narrow it down to five, and just gave up. I've picked up a few to add to the big list from this thread.

    I know I've seen Sand Pebbles, and my memory is that it was a good one, but I've got to look it up. You and me are tracking on the movies!

    That's the first Coen brothers movie I really knew. I liked Raising AZ when I first saw it, but I appreciated it more when I saw more of their stuff. The dialogue is great in those two, and Oh Brother, but the thrills of No Country and Blood Simple are off the charts. But yeah, this business of ranking them is tough.

    I can't ever rhink the words Blazing Saddles without laughing. How the heck did that get past the sensors? I was about 13 when that came out. My dad took my brother and I to see it because he liked westerns. Oh,what a memory!!

    Red Feen. Man, it's been a while. Yellow Ribbon, Wayne and Ford again. I'm surprised so many of us overlap on this stuff.

    Every one of those is a great movie, we're pretty close on tastes. Haven seen American Sniper. Passion of the Christ was a downer

    No Country is one of those movies that makes my heart beat fast. They really build the tension. I have a hard time with the old vs new True Grit. The old one was great, But, I think I've got to give it to the new one. Jeff Bridges has become one of my faves (Seabiscuit, Crazy Heart). And those Coen brothers can sure put together dialog. No love for Raising Arizona? Tarantino is hard to grasp for this ADHD sufferer. Gotta watch them twice, at least

    When I was picking a number 1 it was The Searchers. So hard to pick and rank.

    Every one of those is great. Only exception is the 'raindrops keep falling on my head' scene in butch Cassidy.

    Looking at the list, I see some patterns: History 6; Coen brothers 4; War 4; Tom Hanks 3; Western 3; John Ford 2; John Wayne 2;
  22. About 10 years ago I started keeping a list of my favorite movies. At first I tried ranking them, but found that I couldn't pick a favorite, much less list them in order. So, I picked out the top 5 (as of right now) to post. As you can see, there were some ties 12 Angry Men 61* Band of Brothers Fargo Forrest Gump The Godfather The Godfather Part II High Noon It's a Wonderful Life Lonesome Dove Monty Python and the Holy Grail No Country for Old Men North by Northwest Patton Raising Arizona Saving Private Ryan Seabiscuit Schindler's List The Searchers The Sixth Sense The Quiet Man To Kill a Mockingbird Truman I pasted this from the list, which is sorted alphabetically. So, what's your top 5?
  23. I read SOMEWHERE that those are CRAP! Ain't you got no PRIDE?
  24. Ha! You need 2 feet of water to tip one??? I can easily do it in 4 inches! Them ramps can be slippery.
  25. California roll?
