  1. TackleWarehouse has phenomenal shipping!
  2. Nice Largemouth and a really Nice Smallie for the St. Francis! How big did that one go 16.5" - 17"? Great report, awesome dog, and nice pics... Thanks for sharing!
  3. I've been wanting to do the Elk for a while now. Keep hearing about nice, nice smallies and largemouth coming out of it. TrophyFishR - Congrats! How Big? Pics? Ned Rig?
  4. My biggest was just over 17" out of a St. Louis County subdivision pond about 10 years ago. Watched my brother in law catch a 16" out of the same pond. I've caught a 15" out at Busch Wildlife, and maybe a handful of 13"-14" crappies out of LOZ.... I haven't caught one over 13" though in probably 6 or 7 years though. My father-in-law just fished his own dock last week but he caught a lot of 10-12" crappie. Vertically fishing minnows with a crappie nibble. His dock is pretty far back in a cove at the 25 mm. Sits in about 12-13 feet of water and has brush and pvc structure underneath. I believe he was catching them relatively close to the bottom.
  5. Again awesome info.... WHARFRAT you are like the Bill Babler of LOZ crappie... This is very good info for all the LOZ crappie guys. My father-in-law was just down for 5 days and I'm sure did a little Crappie fishing. I'll try to post a report from him from the 25 mm.
  6. Yeah they can live just about anywhwere with water.... I've seen some monster crayfish in a small fountain/pond at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis. It's only about 8-12 inches deep, made out of concrete and there are no fish in it. Not sure how they got there.
  7. That's awesome and looks pretty simple. What brand of spray paint did you use? I'm gonna give it a shot with my BB paddle this winter. I'll post pics once I do it. Thanks for the step by step with pics.
  8. Congrats on the check! Was that buzzbait fish shallow or suspended under a dock?
  9. Trophy - Shoot me a pic of that color. May have to order a few of those
  10. Good luck to all the OAF guys fishing the Big Bass Bash this weekend. I hope those fishing will post reports of how their weekend went (with pictures if possible). I won't be fishing it this year and would love to live vicariously through those who are. Water temps are much warmer this year although they'll be getting a big cold front coming through tonight. How about we try to guess the winning weight. I'll start with a guess of 6.73 lbs for the biggest overall bass
  11. 97procraft... That's the exact mindset you need to have. I fished it last year and I had a tough time convincing myself of that when we weren't even catching dinks. I won't be fishing it this year, but it looks like you're gonna get hit with the same kind of cold front we got hit with last year. 20 degree drop in the high from Friday to Saturday. Cloudy and rainy Saturday and then even colder with bluebird skies on Sunday. Just keep chunking though! That big one can hit at any time. Saturday could be an awesome buzzbait or swimbait day with the nasty conditions. Sunday you'll probably just need to stick to flipping the shady parts of docks or skipping a jig way up under there. I feel like I tried to many baits last year instead of focusing on the ones I know will catch big fish if you put it in front of them. If I was fishing this year, I think I'd strictly throw a Buzzbait, Swimbait (Bull Shad or Hollow Belly), or Jig. Good luck to all the OAF guys fishing the BBB and let us know how you do. Would love to see an OAF guy win this thing! I think I may need to fish the Spring one in 2014. I feel much more confident in my ability to catch a nice one in the Spring. Paul MOsmallies
  12. Yeah put some pics up. You may have stumbled on 8 pre-Rapala Wiggle Warts that you could turn into a pretty penny on eBay. Or you could keep them and get their paint spruced up by TrophyFishR. He does some really nice work.
  13. BilletHead... That's an awesome looking paint job. How'd you do that abstract camo pattern? May have to try that this winter. My BB paddle is bright yellow. I don't hate it, but your paint job looks awesome.
  14. Great info WHARFRAT! and Thank You. November crappie fishing can be awesome. I'm a bass fisherman through and through, but the crappie have saved a trip or two for me. Last November around Thanksgiving was one of those trips. 1/16 roadrunners, ticking the tops of brush piles next to docks. Also deep brush piles out away from the bank. Looking forward to doing it again this year and glad to here the avg size has been a little better.
  15. Blazerman... He just posted a report 2 days ago. Sounds like the bite is picking up nicely...
  16. Larry thanks for the info. I will definitely be contacting him this week. I hope others consider contacting him as well. Mitch - I approve of your proposed punishment (especially the video part) with the addition of fishing privileges revoked for 1 or 2 years.
  17. Yep I've caught tons of drum on the Mississippi on crawdad colored wiggle warts and shad colored crankbaits. In fact one of the best colors I've used for them is similar to the color of a drum. Silvery white with iridescent purple and blue.
  18. I know what ya mean Champ... Old Plug, fishinwrench and a few others have really been the only ones to give consistent reports on the LOZ forum. I try to give as much detail as possible whenever I'm able to get down there. I wish the LOZ forum was more like the Table Rock forum. I get jealous reading the Table Rock forum. I never fish TR because we have a vacation home at LOZ. I'm not sure if we just don't have that many LOZ bass guys on here, or if they are just more tight-lipped than the TR guys.
  19. Hoglaw.... Thank you for sharing your first hand knowledge and insight! How would we go about finding the name of the prosecutor. I'd be more than happy to send him/her an email or shoot them a phone call!
  20. Man at those prices I would just get them custom painted in those exact colors. I'm sure BaitWerks or most decent custom painters could pretty much nail those patterns. But I guess these guys aren't fishing with them, they're just collecting and want the exact originals.
  21. Brett you frickin rock!!! We'll see if I can win the auction. Those are them!
  22. Hey Guys, I know this table rock forum is full of some of the best Wiggle Wart experts around, so I figured this would be a good starting place. I'm trying to find the name (or code) of this color that's no longer made for wiggle warts. I know the bait in this picture isn't a wiggle wart, but it's the exact color I'm trying to find wiggle warts in for a fishing buddy. It was one of his favorite colors and he just broke his last one off an a recent trip. If you can tell me the name of the color, it would really help me in my online searches. If you have any wiggle warts in this color that you're willing to sell, I would definitely be interested. Thanks for any help you can provide! Paul MOsmallies
  23. How'd you end up in the tournament? Were you able to put 4 more good ones with it?
  24. Nice one Seth
