    Truman Dam

One of the few places that I can honestly say I never skunked out at. Beautiful scenery and fishing.
  2. It's part of the poison lineup of rods from Jackall. From my personal use it has a soft tip for easy working but very strong backbone. HC-68MGR Medium 3/16-3/4oz 12-20lb Crankbaits and Jerkbaits Moving tomorrow. Retailed for $425, asking $150 picked up in Springfield. 4176318975.
  3. $15 for the spook lot.
  4. Excellent photos! What lens did you shoot with?
  5. There are days where I can pull out a few 2-3lbs within an hour and then there are days where I cant even get a nibble. I dont fish Fellows alot but early morning or late evening are usually the most productive for me.

  10. I'm sure some are up there now but the waters too high still unless you're on a boat. And...yeah, nobody is gonna tell you if they catching on this forum that's for sure. People are quiet about their 'eyes and stripes. Gotta go down there for yourself and talk with the locals.
  11. Saw a snake this weekend sitting at the bottom of the river while I was wading for smallies. I didnt realize snakes could just sit on the bottom like that. At first I thought it was a stick but then realized it was a snake. It did look similar to the picture posted. Not really fond of snakes so I just got out of the water.
  12. Yep. The lens I use is more for portraits rather than landscape so it was kinda hard to capture the complete setting.
  13. Fishing on shore or on a boat? If you're fishing on shore, just go below the dam when the water is running. Its like people have said, its a hit or miss. if you're lucky they will be busting on top along side the whites and you'll know right away the difference in fight between the two fish.
  14. Come'on Missouri.... stock them in Bullshoals
  15. If you hit the coves on the right day, you'll catch bass. Buts its definitely a very big hit or miss lake for me.
  16. You can see the small whites starting to bust small shads or minnows on top. The fish are still sub-surface. If we consistent warm weather like we are this week, its going to turn up anyday now. I fished thursday evening and did well but they were all small whites.
  17. Cold front moved in and weather was terrible but the whites were biting for a short period. Corps running good water and the current was choppy from the wind but still managed to catch 26 whites in the 2 hours we fished in the rain and missed a dozen others. Fished from 4-6pm. Couldnt find the hybrids like we did last week but saw a few guys pull out a fat 9lber that I weighted with my boga grip. After the bite slowed, the carps and gars moved in and the rain didnt stop. Felt like I was taking a shower with my clothes on. Called it quits around 7pm. Overall not a bad day, just bad weather.
  18. you can only fish so close to the dam. they have a line hanging across that says you cant cross over. you can launch anywhere with the canoe. i've seen people launch on both sides before. if you can get to the rockpile, hit it where the fast current breaks with the calm water. that should put you on some fish, maybe even a BIG striper.
  19. Windy, cold and slow. Still caught fish but they were on the small side. Caught whites, crappies and 2 hybrids (20" and 17"). Didnt see a topwater bite in the morning even though there was people lined up. The temperature drop on friday night and no water running probably the reason why. Should be great fishing as soon as the weather warms up.
  20. The run is late for sure. Hit and miss really.
  21. Thanks for the report vonreed. Last time I was there I figured the water was a little low so I didn't try swan. Caught some at beaver and on the Forsyth side tho but not enough to brag about.
  22. Have too much stuff. Some used some new. Gary Yamamoto Evolve Rx grubs Lei tech Huddleston bug Zoom fluke j 3:16 mission fish Gambler EZ swimmers Couple crank baits Spook Need to go ASAP. $25 picked up around Springfield area. Call or text 4176318975 - MJ
  23. Unfortunately only a dozen or so were keepers. Haven't been back to the dam for 3-4 months since fishing there was not as hot as previous years so I just didn't bother returning making the drive. We also didn't put weather into effect but the cold front must of turned everything off just enough. Was hope'n for some whitebass or hybrid slabs of meat but nope. Managed 1 dink bass, 1 5lb flathead, 7-8 sheepheads and endless (150) small crappies. Not worth the drive to bring back 14 crappies unless you just feel like fishing.
