  1. RC- I will be in the same Gold Chrysler Seabring Convertible with the same hair cut or lack there of and Black OzarkAnglers.com hat. lol I'll keep an eye out. If anyone is camping and wants to share the sight I will be on. Your welcome to do so. Not sure which I will be on, but I am usually just past the host's spot and the bathrooms/showers in the 500s. Add me to all lists!
  2. After I get camp set I will be in the stream for sure and would enjoy some company. Cricket you do any night fishing in the river? Used to be I could spend the whole wading for smallies. But that has been a few years. Except for the annual up all night with Leonard / Tanney get together on New years. Wonder If a little after park hours in the river wouldn't be a bad Idea?

  4. Thinking I may camp. In the no reserve 500s. Probably Get in afternoon on Friday. Hit a hot evening hatch hopefully. Ok must stop imagining. I'm getting the shakes.
  5. +1 on the Ironman tough & cheap
  6. Larry's is a good choice also!
  7. Sweet !!!!! Hay Ted need some workers send me a PM. Will work for range time.
  8. Have to disagree with buying from the park store over priced and under experienced for the most part not to mention really just to busy. Do yourself a big favor and go by Charlie Readings Shop. He has casting ponds (so you can test drive different actions/flex and weights and brands of rods) and a great knowledge of all fly fishing(lines, reels, and such). He carries high end and mid grade equipment No junk and isn't going to recommend anything just to push a sale. Its just not his style. Tell him your needs and wants and ask questions. This man loves to talk fishing and thats about the only problem with going too his shop. Is going there if your in a hurry to get to the stream. Don't go by his shop to early or to late though seems to keep casual hours. For flies leaders and tippet and such go to Weavers. They have the prices and great service to boot. and finally ask tons of questions here. Welcome to OAF JJ
  9. I'm lookin for the naked pictures of my dogs. Cause it it were my sight I would outlaw pictures of dressed up pups
  10. I think this is the future of PETA type groups. Takes the sport out of fishing and requires consumption of fish caught. This will may ultimately kill the heritage of this wonderful sport and and its future there.
  11. Watching this thread and the water levels. Anyone know any good parking lot patterns just in case? lol
  12. Pondhopper be sure to send her a letter of commendation to the store manager.
  13. Very nice Terry! If I had more time and money. I would like to do a remodel with the natural cedar log furniture look around my place.
  14. First Welcome to OAF, Leonard will get ya on fish. And keep you away from beaver and squid. soggy, Better watch out for a killer yorkie attack in your near future.
  15. Guess i should have made my statement more clear sorry. The person who failed to control his now dead dog. Needs to be taken to the cleaners for the damages inflicted to the man who took responsibility for the defense of himself and his. Why carry a gun? 1. When seconds count cops are only minutes away. 2. Ever try and carry a cop?
  16. jd, I hear exactly what you are saying about pet owners being responsible for there animals and have had experiences with owners and there pets affecting me and mine. Get some Pepper Spray or better yet a big can of the bear spray you will have better range and less cost since you to pay for the APPA rating. (safe for human consumption) Give the offending dog a good shot and the owners will have a wonderful time cleaning up the mess there little angel created thanks to there inaction. Just make sure you notify an adult of the chemical presence if possible. Since that stuff could possibly effect anyone touching/cleaning the pet afterwards.
  17. The man with a dead dog needs his pants sued off.
  18. Spent a fathers day there fishing with Pops using poppers from the canoe and caught gills and lots of em. No bass tho.
  19. Yes Sir sewn on. I could not send the extra cash on the STL Chotas but did by the Abram Creek (probably spelled that wrong) Entry level boot still sewn on and plenty comfy . Great boot maker. IMHO
  20. Great report & pictures. I'm sure there are many people wanting to see what kind of shape the stream is in after all that water. Thoms not the only fella getting that itch
  21. Look who made it!!!! Welcome and enjoy the fine group of people that frequent this place. Some are very knowledgeable and a few are also quite funny but most all seem to be real salt of the earth types. Enjoy and share as much as you can. JJ
  22. Also if your thinking of family units. You might like Larry's last year I stayed in two bed room cabin was nice and very clean. if not new. When going by myself or with other dedicated fisherpersons I camp or stay at Sand Springs.
  23. Bumping this little sucker back up since I had to dig it up for fun in another forum.... thanks terry I found this very interesting the first time
  24. I'm sure your refering only about the powerbait sniper and the fish gut chumming chums. And not the guy who had a couple of beers somewhat near the parking lot. lol I have it on good authority that he didn't realize that this was against the rules till ya told him. Then had to make room in his tiny cooler for a pretty lady back home he promised a few fish for. For which I hope he is rewarded throughly. Should have snapped there pics and posted them under "WANTED."
  25. Ya we did chat about your trip while there, Dennis. I am thinking about trying to get away for a over night trip there during your stay. Too short was surly one thing that was wrong. ps. I am normally available able to split gas at a moments notice. Tho making extended plan could be a challenge for me.
