  6. Havent seen his posts around. Kinda miss his humor and was hoping that he didnt go down late with out the rest of the "Strippers" for back up. Hoping all well and he's just being busy. JJ
  7. I'm currently holding said beer to head cause all this intelligent talk in making me little redneck brain hurt...... Two days ago I open up the thread and Saw the word PETA and closed it back up. Figure when they show up And try to block my way to the water or throw red paint on me. Then I'll deal with em the way my daddy taught me too. Till then I'll follow the subject from a distance. Read what people with simaler values like mine say and hope to keep these head aches suppressed with cold AB products.
  8. Hooks thread and a pheasant tail in the least, I would add a bobbin and a hare's mask. Only those and you're vise are enough for two great classic fish catching nymph patterns to get you started and should only cost ya about 20 bucks. Stop buy the book store or a online one and get a beginners tying book. Actually Ill send ya a link to a great online tutorial in your PM box also. JJ
  9. bad idea fishing was probably Dead anyways.
  10. Received mine today!!!! Guess the kids aren't the only ones to get something for Halloween. They all look great and I guess that I will have to get myself some where really soon to give m all a go. Special thanks to Mike for the handling of this swap. Hope the extras I sent ya serve you well. Thanks JJ

  12. CC you show up with a extra jar similar to that one your holding in your avatar pic. And if it has a good bead. You could pic outa my box as long as my whistle stayed wet. JJ Couple of my customs classic nymphs and streamer bugger
  13. I know I already posted this else ware but here it is again. Seem like a good fit.
  14. Ok next pattern is a Pheasant tail and Starling. I still haven't be to the shop for hooks and such but Ill get there before to long.
  15. Matt I also employ the reverse forearm grip. Usually while digging in the cooler but also understand the difficulty of having someone stalk you for a picture while your stalking fish and the second photo posted, the momentary glimpse into the fun you were having priceless. Good times and tight lines, JJ
  16. Hay Jared how about a write up on the pattern you were using. I would hate to have to GOOGLE it. Would be afraid of the "bugs" my computer might get trying to find it (pun intended)...
  17. this little one and the big brother of it were a gift from my father several years ago and are both White River.
  18. Thanks, CC. I have a midge box also and its got all the usual suspects in there. shh I also hide my "egg patterns" in there. And if I left my vest at home wouldn't I be out of uniform.
  19. Thanks for the tips on the hooks Phill. They have been added to my go getem list. Here is my newest the Irresistible And a shot of my Soft hackle and Dries Box
  20. Theres another one got this body very sparse and the hackle a little long... this is turning into a practice of inperfection. However I have recently found pictures else were of a sweet royal coachman on a size 32 talk about crazy.
  21. So did every one get theres in ?
  22. Thank you foe the report and also for continuing the great sport of fishing, The only way to do that is to make sure the next generation is hooked like those that came before them. Good job, JJ
  23. Nope bought a Partridge skin (paid $24 ) after going threw one of those little bags in one sitting. Really bites buying any part of a bird with as many skins, wings and such. As I have thrown out since age 10.
  24. No offense taken actually. Because the critiques and tips to tying them is what I am looking for. I'm no Sally I can handle it. As far as the turned down eye. I can also see were your coming from. These are tied on on Dai-Riki #135 Scud/Pupa hooks because thats what I had on hand. Usually used for small scuds an zebra midges. However I am getting together a list of things to take to feather-craft. And it keeps growing. Keep it thin. "Check." Add another style of hooks to the arsenal. "Done" And no worries! I'm not afraid to fish anything I tie as they all work "eventually." Dano I have a PC that takes forever with its dial up conection to load a video no matter how small it is , but Ill take a look at it hopefully. If the Pc doesnt lock up. lol
  25. Well Its was mentioned that they were a challenge so I figured. Try it out and well, it is! Figured this might be a place to show a few. At this time I only seem to have success with starling the partridge at these sizes seems way brittle, but Ill get there. Those that know me know that I am a self proclaimed "bull in the china shop." Enjoy! Any and all tips and or Observations welcomed. I have decided on checking into a new pair of hackle pliers/ midge scissors as well as some much smaller thread all these were done with Danville's 110 waxed thread. The green butt And a Orange Ill post more as improvements are made. Thanks for looking, JJ
