  7. This one was was easy I made my own (see altoid tin thread ) My main problem was a vest iv become attached to has smaller pockets so that takes out about two thirds of the more common boxes being produced. However I do carry a small sized aluminum compartment box <B.P. W.R> type for my dries to really be able to pack in a ton of flies and not have worries about crushing hackles. JJ

  13. THanks, Don... I'm proud of em thats why I show them off as far as "frugal" you hit the nail right on the head. The less I spend on materails the more goes into the "Trip Kitty." 14. I repaint in black use a gold fine tip paint pen to add monograms and hand paint recipiants favorite fly or for my self a nymph "pheasanttail" on one and a streamer "Zonker" on the other added foam thin black type was used to wrap something for packaging , and glue a Sear's refridgerator magnet face down on the lid side. I have given several to family and one to a long time fishin buddy there really is a sence of accomlishment in not only giving flies to f&f but a personlized container that makes the complete hand made heirloom Thank for all the responcies and Il try and include a few pics soon <ill have to borrow a camera >

  17. OK ok "I cant stand it anymore Im gonna have to break out the wallet and buy one", I'll probubly go for the 9 foot er . Since I dont have many little smallie places close enough anymore that havent been trampled resently by home developers or guys rich enough to payoff local officals to post no parking sings at bridges were I used to have good quick access to large well feed fish in skinny water. So ill have a slightly heaver back up or maybe a new lower priced rod addiction
  18. Does'nt the on-line MDC sight charge a fee for using its services. I know that they do if you try to use the service by phone it wasnt much but even 5 bucks to to expensive for a public/government agency to charge over and above the fees for there camp sites at least in my opinion... JJ
  19. Thought I'd add that I never actually use the handle when retriving loose line or geting a fish on my reel while flyfishing. I palm or slap the open rim on my reel that seems to take up slack much faster than tryin to take hold of a little wooden bead while watching your prey.. JJ
  20. Not a perfect trip but, You woke up in the morning and also from a nap so at that point you were a head of some< no dirt nap> so add in the couple of fish you must have had a pretty good day after all JJ

  24. Same here switchin hands would be a waste of time and energy, but its not as tho I can really take credit for this. My father was the one who Im shure set-up that first Johnson real for my left hand to turn the crank.
