  1. Where is Mccord bend? I would love to do some whitebass fishing this year but I really don't know where to go. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  2. I fish table rock almost exclusively out of a kayak and usually catch a lot of fish. If go out early in the morning or late in the evening you usually won't have any problems with other boats, mainly because the only boats on the water will be fishermen. Because of table rocks size there is usually places where you can get away from the crowd even in the middle of the day. I really like fishing without the aid of modern sonar, it really sharpens your basic fishing knowledge and I feel it puts you in tune with the true essence of fishing.
  3. Does anyone know a good place to catch whites on the James this spring? I'm really only familiar with the James from Hooten up.
  4. What can you say? If you put every person that was rude to you in their place, fishing or no, you would spend your whole day yelling at people. It saves you a lot of time and energy by just walking away.
  5. Maybe you can thank me by helping me pass calculus next semester.
  6. Do we have to sign up for this or do we just show up?
  7. The bank across from the warm water outlet should start holding some fish sometime soon. I find a lot of fish on the north side of the shore when spring hits because the north side gets more sun and warms faster. You can get there by parking in the parking lot that is on the right immediately after you cross the dam. You can also park down at the park which is the first right turn after the parking lot I just described. Good luck.
  8. Thank you for the report, It'll be a lot of help this weekend.
  9. I would have to agree, anything over 15" is a nice smallmouth and anything over 20" is what I would consider a trophy smallmouth out of a river. The biggest fish I've ever caught in weight was 3 and a half. Most river fish don't get above 3 lbs. because they have to expend so much energy swimming in the current.
