  1. Thank you. Your comment reminds me why I really like this forum. People on OA have always given great, constructive feedback and it's helped me to use the music that appeals to the audience.
  2. Thank you. You'll get faster with practice. The entire process takes me much longer. But I've gotten faster at the editing process by importing my clips in to folders. Ex paddle/scenery, fish/release, wildlife/interesting stuff...etc. As I go through the video I save my clips into the proper folders. Later when I edit them if I'm looking for a fish, it's easy to find, and I'm not searching through 8 hours of video for 1 minute of a release shot.
  3. Had a great trip. Here's a short video.
  4. It was my first time in the hanger but usually make a few trips each year to the NFOW always camp at Sunburst. Planning another trip soon before the recreational floaters invade.
  5. Just got back from a trip. We took my friends father up for his birthday. Stayed at the hanger...man is that a great place. Sunburst has a nice thing going. Fishing was good but not great. However, we all had a great time. Here's a short write up I did for Orvis. http://www.orvis.com/news/fly-fishing/photos-taking-old-man-fly-fishing/
  6. My initial thoughts on the new fly fishing designed kayak from Jackson. Pretty impressed with it so far... http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2017/02/jackson-kayak-mayfly-review-with-video.html
  7. I picked it up yesterday and made a quick trip ripping streamers through the grass. It was a fun trip....https://youtu.be/wHE6xjNN6Gs
  8. Short read from my area. http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2017/02/good-intentions.html
  9. Never had a problem on the NFOW. Lots of posted land but ample places to camp. I have stopped and spoken to many landowners along the river and it's always been good conversation. If your only interest is solitude and fishing you should have no issues. It's obnoxious floaters that no one has patience for. Keep in mind there is zero chance I would float that river from June to Sept...the recreational floaters get thick.
  10. I've heard rumors and seen a few photos but never heard anyone doing any good fishing them. Kinda cool.
  11. Thank you and thank you!!
  12. Spent it on the White and Norfork. It was a good time. http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2017/02/40-on-white-river.html
  13. Some but not as often as you might think. Less than 5 a year.
  14. No fancy video (cough) or drawn out blog post. I wasn't planning on fishing today but at 8 am the urge hit me. I left the fly fishing gear at home and headed to the refuge to kill a few hours. Sometimes you have to go with your gut.
  15. Awesome! This was my 2nd destination if SELA was a bust. I had a great time but still feeling like I might have missed out. Good stuff!!
  16. Ham, it is funny to think about the places our paths have probably crossed. Hopefully they'll literally cross in SELA this Fall if not sooner. John, yeah I'll pretty much drive anywhere to fish. I really enjoy the travel, seeing the country. But I also I hate to fly! If I could do it my way, I'd live out of a van and be on the road all year.
  17. Thanks man. I'm 8 miles from the LA border above Monroe, LA. It takes me about 6 hours to get to the marsh. My idea of a bull is mid 30's. However the slot is 16-27 inches, so anything over 27 inches is technically a bull red, in LA game and fish terminology. However, on this trip I was looking for something around 35"s.
  18. Quick trip to SELA over the weekend paid off with some quality redfish on the fly. The power of these fish is amazing and a great experience from a kayak. Full read with more pics: http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2017/01/game-time-in-grand-isle.html
  19. If you want an alternative to hiring a traditional guide you might consider a kayak guide....less $. I don't know this guy but a few friends have used his service. Might be worth checking out. http://www.kayakvenicela.com/
  20. Short read with pictures from my last trip to the Red in December http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2017/01/timing-is-everything-day-on-little-red.html
  21. Time is up. Ready for the next session....
  22. Haha...that is true... I live 8 miles from Louisiana so I just cross the border. People from out of state are like, what are talking about...
  23. Some trout action from the Little Red.
  24. This brown isn't the biggest but it was so full of fight I decided to feature it in a short edit.
