  1. Call http://www.sunburstranchcanoe.com/ and they'll take care of you. Cheap camping and you can float to their camp or to the landing from SBR depending on the float you chose. Thinking about heading back soon myself. Here's a short video from my last trip.
  2. Short post with pictures. http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-day-i-got-lost-in-brown-town-on.html
  3. Well look at that...thanks for the heads-up. I love the fishing part but the video part has really grown on me.
  4. Awesome. I'm guessing a new post will be created closer to the time for planning and such.
  5. It might be less (45 total maybe), not really sure, we never used that service. If I were going to use a mothership I'd want to be out of venice. The guy said he only cared during duck season but my buddy warned us that he's been run out of the area a few times before duck season...so who knows.
  6. I think $45/kayak but we never used one. The fish were an easy paddle but it would be fun to get out a little further.
  7. We just need 4 more then, lol. I know a few guys that have been trying to get down there.
  8. You don't have to twist my arm. They rent hobies and JK also
  9. I love that site, lol!
  10. Here's the blog post with some (lots of) pictures. http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2016/11/not-bad-day-in-pointe-aux-chenes-la.html
  11. Spent 4 days in Pointe aux chenes, LA filming the new Cuda HD with JK mediahouse. It was a great trip filled with lots of redfish on the fly. Here's a short, under a minute, teaser video. Working on a full video. We stayed at PAC kayak rentals...the houseboat rents for 150/night and sleeps 6. All the fish were caught less than a mile from there. The kayak launch was the coolest I have ever used...raises and lowers with the tide. Had rollers to help slide the kayak in the water. There's also a small beach for camping...but it does get noisy.
  12. I have a Hero 4 silver. The H4s has a screen for reviewing on the water and a tagging button that allows you to find those important clips later. So it'll save you some time when you're editing. I'd check craigslist or ask around, lots of people think they'll use them and later decide they hate it.
  13. Posting this here b/c I don't want to spam the FB page. My looknfishy page has teamed up with a Fayettechill Clothing Company https://www.fayettechill.com/ based out of the Ozark Mountains to giveaway $150 giftcard for answering an outdoor survey. Takes 2 minutes. If you're on Facebook, head to my fishing page (below) page and check it out. The winner will have the giftcard emailed to them so I wont be asking for your address. https://www.facebook.com/looknfishy/
  14. Thx man. Well....sadly in the beginning I used that type of music also, mostly b/c I was trying to learn the entire process and hated spending time searching for music. Now I have more time to find searching for tunes.
  15. I have actually tried to add that in but it was terrible. The gopro pics up too much background noise. I've been researching external mics. Hope to do something like that in the future. Thanks for the honest feedback.
  16. https://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/camdenton-angler-catches-state-record-hybrid-striped-bass On a jug line, interesting.
  17. Seriously....thanks for letting me know.
  18. Cubbies!!
  19. Short video from last weeks trip to the marsh.
  20. Around Grand Isle, LA...just off the highway. You can park and fish anywhere along it.
  21. Just got back from a 3 day trip to SELA. 2 out of the 3 days were great. The middle day was windy and cloudy...sighfishing was impossible. The other days made up for it... Hope to get back down soon and find some bigger fish as the water clears.
  22. Camped during the week and fished 2 days. Went back up on Sunday and fished it again. Nothing huge but had a great time... http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2016/10/overnight-trip-to-little-red-river.html
  23. Just learned I finished 4th. But I think that's a great finish. I figured the trout photos would get loads of votes b/c it was an orvis contest, but it was really close, and I think it was cool to be in the mix. So thank you to everyone who voted. Here's the link to the winners if you want to see the results... http://www.orvis.com/news/fly-fishing/congrats-winners-20-days-september-photo-contest/
  24. Thanks for taking the time to vote. I really appreciate it. I'll update this thread when I know the results.
