  1. Look for a OC spray with a high SHU (Scoville heat units) the higher the better.
  2. Mike you are the man! Good job buddy. I should be down pretty quick. I am ready to get after it again!
  3. There are alot of big walleye in BS.
  4. AGFC stocks stripers...at least that is what I had heard. As far as TR goes I have heard of a couple in recent years on the uppermost part of the lake. We actually had a very large one grab a 13 or so inch spot as we were fighting it to the boat (grabbed it from just below the surface). That occurred in the Kings river arm. And no we didn't get it in.
  5. Mike, That is a great article you wrote above. You are definitely out to help guys catch fish and it is very admirable. Great job my friend!
  6. Wow, I am very impressed Champ, right on . As a primary Walleye guy, I have a house on table rock but almost always go to Bull Shoals. More eyes there. However, a couple of times a year I do take people out on table rock and fish for spots because I know the fish fairly well and know where to catch them. I prolly keep maybe 12 or so spots a year out of table rock. Smallies and blacks go right back in the drink... I have definitely caught a fair share of quality smallies when out fishing walleye on table rock and I am glad to see them. They are a great fish to catch.
  7. As a private dock owner, fishing around mine doesn't bother me, buuuutttt, when I have them nosing into the stalls that is when I get a little agitated. Just for the mere fact of 1) I pay good money to have my dock and 2) it isn't neccessary to pull into a stall to flip if you are any good. And I believe the "no fishing" law has to do with commercial docks only.
  8. Bass model......Had it until I found the light and started walleye fishing ALOT more. The 620VS Fisherman is a great boat, I know there are alot of different boats out there and everyone has their preferences but this thing is killer in large waters. Had it out in 5 and 6 footers up on Lake Oahe in SD, not really by choice. Boat held up a WHOLE LOT better than my back did. I have ridden in a big Crestliner up in SD as well and it was pretty impressive.
  9. Got rid of my 20 foot Champion for a 20 foot Ranger Fisherman....Its a whole lot more comfy on rough water.
  10. Its weird, a couple of times this summer, while pulling crawler harnesses, I caught 4 or 5 in one spot then go awhile with nothing then catch a few again. They are pretty scattered around the lake. I caught my biggest one up around Swan Creek in Febuary (11 1/2 inches). I did notice a couple of eyes during the summer I brought up to the boat puke up a couple of small perch (3 inchers).
  11. Some good walleye fishin' on the Kings....Its hit or miss though.
  12. Lots and lots of ways to fish eyes, Go get em Jason.....I've heard the tadpoles work great (I have regular snap weights) and I know those work good as well. Good luck and tear em up. You'll need crankbaits anonymous shortly trust me you are speaking to a pure addict.
  13. What was water temp and clarity like up there? Good job on the crappies by the way! that is a good day:)
  14. Crankbaits????I do real well on whites and pearls,,The best come on anything white or pearl with a touch of chartreuse. Blue and silver is also pretty hot. Never done worth a darn on black and silver.
  15. Forsythian You can run a floating stickbait behind a BB such as a Rapala in clear water or my favorite a storm thunderstick, however, it is easier to run these baits on a 3 way rig. Uses the same concept as a BB but you use a bell sinker on a 3 way swivel. The real advantage of using a 3 way is the ability to extend or shorten your dropper length to water depth off of the bottom the fish are wanting it. It is a very, very good technique.
  16. You really ought to try and catch them pre spawn that way you can eat the eggs as well as the fish. Yum, Yum.
  17. Bass can and are really good...They tend to be a bit fishy but after filleting them soak them in salt water before bagging. They REALLY good after that.
  18. 3/8 ounce Kastmaster spoon with a white bucktail
  19. There was a gentleman that fished TR quite often that liked beating the banks for bass and while doing so would deadstick a pumpkinseed behind the boat. He swore by it and caught numerous large smallies to prove it worked.
  20. They are a real pain in the arse when trolling $8.00 crankbaits. They tend to chew them up a bit. Bastages!!!
  21. i'd go with otter, 8' is a little to deep for a coon to dive....A mink is a REAL good candidate for that as well
  22. Bomber Fat free shads work great for crappie....I used to troll them on table rock around the outside bends of the river channels along the bluffs and done real well. Of course I was mostly fishing walleye, but who could pass up 13 to 15 inch crappie.....The fat frees come through the trees real well and don't seem to get snagged up real bad.
  23. Heat won't hurt fishing but it will you, stay hydrated... I kind of power fish. I don't get tied down to one spot even if I am marking fishing and only catching a few. I bounce from spot to spot checking for the better quality fish... I have found that even if fish aren't really biting in one spot they may be hitting better somewhere else. The info Mr. Worley is providing is pretty much spot on. He knows his stuff, keep checking his reports.
  24. Tucker flats----put in at tucker hollow ramp and it is the first set of flats on your left when running down the lake. You can actually see the start of the flats from the ramp. Good luck. Jason, Linecounters are really not expensive unless you want them to be... Everyone has there preferences but I have numerous Cabelas depthmasters which I believe are like $34.99 a piece and knock on wood I have never had a problem with them. I also use the depthmaster trolling rods which are equally priced. I use the 8 foot downrigger rod which has quite a bit of give but I run 10 pound fireline, which kind of forces me to use a rod with a moderate action which limits the hooks being pulled out while fighting fish. They have worked GREAT for me.
