As soon as I said that, Indian Point called me back. They said no problem and are charging me $85 to get it. -
Lost My Prop - Kimberling City Area....anyone A Diver?

I loaned my side imaging unit to a guy who was going down there Monday, he went to the spot I had marked and found it on an underwater camera, so I have a positive location. Indian Point said they could go get it, but never said how much $$ and never called me back. -
I lost my brand new Tempest last night, not sure why. I run a Yamaha and had the cotter pin in the nut, but anyway, it fell off. I have a pretty good reference point, as it came off as I was stopped and it was about 10 yards from a buoy. I think I may have even found it on my side imaging, but not positive. It's on a flat in about 40' of water. If anyone dives down that way, feel free to PM me on here and I'll make it worth your while to retrieve it.

Nitro, If you caught it, it was probably a carp. Lol

I can normally do pretty well up there on top using a buzz bait this time of year, but I've been up there a lot lately and I have only had 1 on top in 6 trips in 2 weeks. However, I must say the bite on the main lake right now is about as hot as I've ever seen it in June. I can't get enough!

I've been watching closely. According to the Sheriff's Dept, a lot of stolen fishing equipment has been showing up at flea markets and swap meets. They found a bunch stolen from Springfield down in Nixa a while back, so I am getting my time in at the flea markets too. I think at this point, given the choice between getting my stuff back and having 5 minutes in a dark alley with the theif.......I would have to seriously think about it.

I appreciate it very much. I am hoping that it turns up because my insurance is only going to pay a fraction of what its going to cost to replace it. Thank you all very much for keeping an eye out for it. I've emailed the pawn shops and Outdoor Xperienced in case it turns up there.

It is very unusual that I leave my boat in the driveway, however, all my rods were stolen last night. I'm asking for everyones help in keeping an eye out for Rods/Reels for sale that might be unusually cheap or seems suspicious. $500 cash reward for return of equipment or for charges being filed against the person who stole all the rods and reels out of my boat parked at my house near Denny's Harley Davidson in the early morning hours of 5/27/13. Rods are GL2, Temple Fork Outfitters, CarbonLites, Bionic Blades, and a TD-Pro-Z Spinning Rod. ALL REELS ARE LEFT HANDED! Most are TD-Pro's. The spinning reel is an Okuma and there are 2 shimanos. PLEASE CALL 417-536-8711 OR GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT WITH ANY INFO.

My partner backed out on me for the Oakley, so I have a seat open if anyone wants it. I'm planning on fishing both days. I wasn't too concerned about it until I saw the gas prices jump like they did. I have a 20' Skeeter, so plenty of room. Email me at dbobman65714@yahoo.com if interested.

I have a boat that I like, equipment that does the job, and I have as much of my tackle custom made locally as possible. I will go to Bass Pro if I need something else. If they don't have it, then I go to where has it, like SFO or Tackle Warehouse. There is one local shop tho that always seems to be quite annoyed when a customer goes in, so I don't bother him. Ya know, this reminds me of a dumb little squabble that our club got into a couple years ago tho. I asked one of the old timers in the club what he thought, his response, "Tell everyone to shut up and fish."

Well....it gets even deeper there. I believe that Yamaha is the best ENGINE out there ( Everyone has their favorite). Keyword ENGINE. Their gearcases/lower units are not that great. Realizing this, I have replaced the prop shaft several times. I am seriously about broke from trying to get this thing going the way it should. Thats why I have surrendered to the cheap-o 4 blader. That thing seems to be indestructable.
-
Also....with the 4 blade, I can't throw a tail at all. No matter what prop I use, I get my max speed between 1/2 and 2/3 trim. At 2/3rds trim, my speed drops fast. I'll be out at Cape Fair Saturday afternoon playing with it somemore.
-
These are brand new props. Yamaha warrantied one, but then rolled over after that. My boat won't throw a roostertail, maybe the height of the motor, but nothing more, not that I would want it any higher with it. Also, here is another strange one....The more loaded down my boat is, more gas, water in livewells...ect, the faster it runs. No matter what, I am getting 20%+ prop slippage. I have lowered it a bit and it got a bit better, but I can't go much lower.

I am running a 99 Skeeter ZX202c with a stock 1999 Yamaha 200 vMax. Nothing fancy about it. I have a 12" jackplate which is standard on the ZX series. The best prop so far has been a 27-M. I ran 56-5700 and was in the upper 60's. Part of it is laying in about 100' of water in the mouth of Aunts Creek - 2nd trip. I got another one, ran great for 2 trips. 1 blade of it is laying in the bottom of Pomme de Terre lake in about 50' of water. I ran a 26 tempest, I could get 5600 out of it, 63 MPH. 1 blade of that prop is laying at the bottom of Bull Shoals somewhere around Tremble Creek - 1st trip out. The boat calls for a 25-M. I get 5800 and can run 63 with it. Its laying at the bottom of Pomme de Terre lake after the 3rd trip out. I have a 23p Stiletto 4-blade that has hundreds of miles on it. Not much performance there, I can turn 6000+ with it and still have some pedal left, but I'm only running 61mph or so. I tried a Michigan Wheel 25p last weekend, I could get 6000 with it, but only 55 MPH. Baffled yet?
-
Props - Now there is a sore subject for me. I run a 20' Skeeter with a 200 Yamaha. I cannot get this thing even close to doing what it is supposed to do. Every 3 blade prop I put on there throws an ear within 2 or 3 trips out. Some props run ok, and others run like crap. The best I've found is a 27-M, but I can't keep blades on it. Right now I am running a 4-blader which is WAY too small for my setup, but I just watch the RPM's and putt along about 58-60 with NO performance. I worked with John at Hot Props for quite a while and he can't get it. Matt at Dyna prop says I need a 26 Tempest, but it won't stay together either. And No, I'm not hitting anything either. I can throw a blade off a 3 blader in 100' ft of water within the 3rd or 4th run on that prop. Any ideas?

This lady was nuts. I argued with her for a few minutes, but it wasn't going anywhere. BTW....there is some great fishing on the south side of the 76 bridge at Cape Fair, just cant go anywhere near the resort dock because the water around it is "privately owned". Sheesh! Give me a break. Also, there is a decent looking log that has floated up by there, I asked if it was privately owned too, but she wouldn't answer.
-
We had quite the healthy debate, but when she started taking the pics and telling me that she "owned" the water under her dock, I started taking her picture and she seemed to get even madder, thats when she decided to call the Sheriff. I waited on him for a while, but he never showed....go figure.
-
Ok, ok, I know that I should know the rule about fishing around docks, namely resort docks? I figure I will find out whats what before I go running my mouth off too much. However, I did smack 'em at Table Rock today. Best day I've had all year, at least 50 fish with 18+ keepers, couldn't get one to break 4 1/2 pounds, but had a blast till the lady came down taking pictures and calling the sheriff on me for fishing "her water".
-
Note to self....stay out of the water

Loaded with crab??

You can get to the bridge. You just have to really watch it. It came up a couple feet but its still hairy. If you run on plane all the way from High Point to Aldrige right now, you definatley got more kahoneys than I do.
-
I was up there all day today and managed 1 fish about 3 pounds and my partner caught a slime rocket (muskie) on a shakey head in about 3 ft of water. Looked like someone pulled the plug on the thing, lots of heavy current in the upper Lindley Creek.
-
You can get up there with a bass boat, just have to watch it. There are some shallow spots. We were up there in my partners Ranger Z20 and ran all the way from State park to where the timber started. Its pretty muddy up there right now. Im headed to Pomme today.
-
I was between High point and Aldrige yesterday and the whites were thick. I don't fish for them, but caught several large ones while flipping jigs. I also saw a couple guys on the bank who had quite a few caught.
