  1. I havent fished the park in a long time, but I used to have a lot of luck aroud the lily pads throwing white spinnerbaits tipped w/ 2 1/2" white grubs, and also just light jig heads w/ the same grubs. Throw them up tight against the outside edges and let them sink to the bottom them bring the up w/ a jerk and slow roll them back to you.
  2. has anyone ever grabbed on the james? I was thinking there might be some around the 215 bridge or around delaware and shelvin but wasn't sure.
  3. has anyone ever grabbed on the finley, and if you have where is a descent spot (dont want your honey holes just a spot closer to the springfield area)?
  4. what about around the Charity area? I know its gets gigged pretty hard
  5. Long story short, my wife and I fished the empire park yesterday and caught a few whites but only 3 keepers really windy and hard to cast but the windswept shores paid off
  6. congrats Mekayla
  7. I had the opportunity to travel to Israel in the late 90's and went fishing in the sea of gallilee. I didnt catch anything but did get a bite from a sea gull on my shallow diving shad rap. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to go to Israel take a fishing pole. Catfish are not fished for there and they get huge. It is fairly common for people to buy stale bread and throw it in the jordan river to feed them, and they come right to the surface to eat it. We saw multiple 20+ lb fish.
  8. I usuassly use swimming minnows roadrunners or rooster tails. I usually fish them slow and w/ swmming minnows and roadrunners i se about 1/16 unce jigs they are a blast t catch if you get into them. Try fishing windswept shores as well if you can find any as they will hold whites many times (on lakes anyway). Stckton is a good place to fsh for them as well and i have caght quite a few at fellows as well.
  9. My wife and I fished Swan and Beaver yesterday and got a few bites msty from small bluegill and saw a couple people bring in short largemouth, however the fishing was slow probably due to the wind we ended up at taneycomo and caught 3 keeper whites. Howver it was still a good day out fishing
  10. there is also a lot of forst land around forsyth and taneyville that has quite a few turkeys f you are willing to run and gun
  11. does anyone have info on hog sightings or good (relative term) places to find hogs in mo. I have heard rumors of there being a descent population up around stockton is this true?
  12. thanks for the help tippet. Thats a nice walleye
  13. My wife caught about 1/2 of the stringer but did actually catch the biggest fish, however she does out fish me quite frequently
  14. we were using 1/16 and 1/32 jig heads w/ curly tail grubs. The bite was light
