thats awesome theres a pond practically in my front yard about a 30 second walk and whenever im bored after school or just wanna be alone i just walk down there and fish and the bass are always biting down there and i fish it probably every other day in the summer. i caught this five pounder about 3 weeks ago i was amazed there were even fish that big in my neighborhood pond!!

Hey guys I love catfishing but don't know much bout the actual catfish anyone know when they will start becoming more active and biting more I assume it's just when it warms up a bit I'm planning to try to make it out to a park on the meremac by my house sometime soon just wanted to get some input from you guys to see If they are biting mow if I need to wait a lil longer and also what to use I will probably be using chicken liver or live bluegill... Any help would be great!! Thanks!!

all I've ever caught on chicken liver is catfish no buffalo where are you fishin?

ok thanks Im planning on using white and orange powerbait and orange trout worms just cuz I love fishing trout worms cuz the hits are usually aggressive and they put up a good fight which is always fun haha:)

last weekend orange powerbait at the buzzer caught two right before the fly only section and white jigs worrked the rest of the day

hey guys ive been wanting to go catfishing on the meremac river soon and ive heard that skipjack herring is the best bait to use and that sibiki rigs are the best to catch them on, i live in st louis and was wondering where is the closest place that i could catch skipjack on from the shore? any suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks guys

Yes i will be spin fishing and thanks alot im assuming u mean the powerbait that u can shape urself and not the nuggets cause i usually get a thing or two of the yellow powerbait trout nuggets and i usually fish them with a tiny treble hook so do u think id have more luck usuing a single hook with the other type of powerbait? And thanks ur info will help alot i apprerciatte it

The weather forcast is for it to start raining saturday night and all day sunday. since we will hopefully be fishing all day Sunday i was wondering what lures or baits or colors and stuff are hot right now and that you would recomend using in the rain and if i will even have any luck and what would u suggest to me to catch some trout each day (we will be out there sat. night, sunday, and monday) any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated Thanks guys:)

Hey guys my grandparents have a condo at LOZ at the condos right next to Lodge of the 4 Seasons at mile marker 13. it is called Waters Edge and it has lots of boatdocks and my family have put 2 or 3 brush piles in a certain boatdock where we always used to catch loads of keeper crappie. We use jigs, live minnows, and worms and in the past year the crappie fishing has been terrible at that dock. I also move around to other docks, but i cant seem to get anything! Anyone have any suggestions on what to use, how to fish it, just anything to get the good sized crappie biting!! Any suggestions greatly appreciated. biggrin.gif

I just fish from the bank. I was wondering if there is a good catfishing place close to where i am located and what to use for bait. over the past years i have left rod and reels on the end of boatdocks overnight baited with bluegill, worms, and dip bait but my biggest doing that has only been about 8 or 9 pounds. Please help!! Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

what do u use to catch the big catfish (over 20 pounds) and where can u get the bait?
