  1. A friend was there yesterday (at Lane) and said it was high, muddy and blown out. By Saturday it should be much better. If I weren't going out of town tomorrow I'd meet you there. Have fun and let us know how you do!
  2. Man, that sounds like a TON O FUN! Wish I woulda gone there last weekend!
  3. Lane should be open soon if not already. There's a place (the name escapes me right now) at Mill Creek I think. Don't try sleeping in your car at Vida Slab (trust me on this).
  4. I'll look forward to the report, Justin! Drive safely.
  5. Oh yeah! I remember you mentioning that now. Be sure to let me know how y'all do. I've never fished out there but and am really excited about trying it out.
  6. It sounds crazy but we've re-routed our plans to something completely different. We're going to go brookie hunting in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We tried to make this happen a little while back but it didn't work out. It's going to this time though! We'll hit NFoW later in the spring/summer for sure.
  7. Thanks for the input guys. It sounds like we should hold off until we can float it to get the best of the river.
  8. I posted this over on the FFArkansas forum as well, so please forgive the duplication if you saw this over there - just trying to cover my bases. I have a few days off with a buddy to fish 11-13 March. We are undecided on where we want to go (we're hankering warm water but it may be too early for that) and are considering NFoW as another option. This needs to be a 'low budget' trip - as in no boat (wading only), tent camping and everything else cheap. Is the NFoW a good option for us? What can y'all tell me about fishing the river and available campsites in mid-March? Thanks for any input you can provide!
  9. Now I have to explain why I was laughing.
  10. Anyone know when the boats come out at Busch?
  11. hey Mic, I haven't read through all the other posts (I will later) so I don't know if I'm reiterating what others have already said but I've appreciated your posts and learned some stuff from you. I'd like it if you kept em going.
  12. I was thinking March 1st.
  13. Very nice!
  14. The city lake are no more than 4'. I was told this by a firefighter friend who said that's the maximum they're allowed to be due to being safe for rescuing someone in the water. So I'd guess a sinking line wouldn't be necessary.
  15. Great report! I love catching those wild 'little' 'uns. I think you have inspired me to start making plans to pay a visit to Justin down there. Thanks for the report!
  16. Sounds like a wise move and I hope to take advantage of your hospitality some day soon!
  17. I'm looking to buy a Sage 3100 or Click II reel. I'm also interested in any similar large arbor reels around the 3 ounce mark like a Danielsson Midge or Lamson Purist. I'm open to other ideas. Contact me at czarbarclay[at]prodigy[dot]net or pm.
  18. Sold off forum. Sorry John.
  19. SOLD I have a NEW in box Orvis CFO I Disc reel for sale or trade. I got it a week ago and lined it up and put it on a rod but haven't cast, fished or taken it outside. I'll sell for $175 shipped or will trade it for a Sage Click II or 3100 or other similar large arbor reel. I'll include backing if desired otherwise I'll take it off. PM me or email me at czarbarclay[at]prodigy[dot]net
  20. I love how these posts are so unpredictable! Awesome.
  21. Excellent points, guys. It's worth the effort to make known that it's legal. The lady told me that she had run off someone from Kansas City a few weeks ago. Major bummer.
