I currently live in western Colorado and I live and work at pleasent valley where I have been working on a 1/2 mile of the little Cimarron river since 2012 i am just above the entrance to Big Cimarron river and I have been rebuilding Fish habitat and clearing debris, which in return has improved the fishing quailty of this small stream I have raised water levels from just over a few inches to three feet in pools and deeper with nice runs and wiers,rainbow trout have been caught since the improvments and the hard work is paying off as the fish start to move up stream into good holding water,just this year 2014 CO fish and wildlife have help preserve our section of river by buying out water shares to insure that there will be enough water even during the dryer years,My Girlfriend Cydney Siri is in charge of the collier ditch (A Irrigation ditch that pulls water from the little cimarron for local ranchers )and is with the Fish and wildlife to help insure proper water levels at all times

the insect life here is amazing under every rock is some sort juicy snack for the fish some as big as a size 4 hook stone flys,etc.I am planning on opening a fly shop here someday and injoy talking about the area and fishing in general
