  1. The fish was 7.6 lbs. 22+ inches. Took awhile to land and net. (I netted the fish!) Good job Mr. and Mrs. McCain! Enjoyed the event and vacation. Love, T
  2. Thanks, I'll see those that are there tomorrow! I think we are in cabin 18.
  3. I also would like to hear a daytime report, as we will be down there this weekend. We will be staying Saturday, the 7th thru Saturday, the 14th. We mainly fish early am, with some afternoons and evenings(maybe even a late night or 2) thrown in also. I would like to hear if they are hitting on powerbait, crawlers, so on. We will hve young'uns with us, so anything we catch is a thrill for them. Just curious, what has generation been like also? Thanks in advance, Pat V.
  4. Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge of the new Orvis school in SWMO? Or any Orvis school for that matter? Wife and I are contemplating trying it out, but would like to know more about it first. What do they provide? How many hours do they actually spend in the classroom and how much on water? Is this a sport I should try to self-teach? I do have a flyrod, and used it a bit in Colorado a few years back, but know very little about the sport, except it is intriguing. (I did catch 2 very small trout in Colorado near Estes Park, mainly frustrated myself.) Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Patv
  5. Does anyone have a particular pair or brand they'd recommend? I am ready to invest in a pair. Thanks
  6. I will also be there on Saturday, hope the fishing stays pretty good. Last year was a great fishing week, the 2nd week of July. Looking forward to the early mornings on the lake! See you Saturday! Pat V
