  1. sure it was a "bullhead" 22" is a world record
  2. few college anglers out there pre-fishing as well
  3. it's still not the same...
  4. At least you guys don't have 16" of ice on every lake within 100 mile radius! Can't wait to see some open water again up here in Nebraksa. I've been trying to make the best of it...
  5. Branched Oak Lake outside of Lincoln, NE. Don't hate me because I'm a Husker...
  6. I can't take credit for this one either, but my buddy took this picture of me on his expensive nikon. It hasn't been photoshopped at all, and turned out spectacular. The cast I just made produced a smallie from a lake that wasn't suppose to have any. It was a great night with good friends.
  7. I can't take credit for this one, but it's a great picture non the less. The guys from Versus took this one of me hitting the tires first thing in the morning.
  8. another, taken in August.
  9. sorry, I'm bored this evening. so I'm gonna share some of my pictures...
  10. Probably the best photo I've ever taken...
  11. Run squarebills and chatterbaits through some laydowns. If your not getting bit switch to a jig. Shouldn't be long before they start moving back after those shad though. Black buzzbait if they're back there.
  12. we had pretty much the same thing happen, couldn't find them in the backs of coves, found a few small one's on secondary points. hit the boat docks for a while but only picked up shorts. finally found a pattern with 30 minutes left. Lost a 3 boatside, then got a 1lb 14oz whopper with 5 minutes to go. That was the only fish we weighed. Found the last one's fishing laydowns with a jig.
  13. Yeah, I fished in the college tournament on saturday. Lake was busy with the Big Bass thing going on as well. Was thinking if I found the shad I would find the fish. Not the case, shad have moved into the backs of coves but the bass are slow to follow. I'm sure in about a week things are going to be hot down there, have fun!
  14. what are the catching them on? and where...
  15. found the same shallow pattern on smallies saturday morning. throwing brush hogs on a 3/16 oz weighted hook up in the shallows. got a few nice one's in the 15 - 17" range. went out sunday morning after the bucket mouths. only had about 3 hours before I had to head back home but managed 5 in price's biggest being 18".
  16. I saw tournaments launching out of state park both saturday and sunday. Their must have been a good 60 boats sunday.
  17. I caught 2 small SMB when I was there in late August. Found them in the B2 area south of crabtree. Had a really nice one break me off about 10ft from the boat. Caught them on a 3/8 oz shaky head with a watermelon red fleck zoom trick worm or a 3" chigger craw. Things should be different now though. I'll be there again this weekend in hope of finding the 20 that stole my shaky head! Hoping to find some nice LMB's as well. Like I said, they were no trophies... but it was encouraging have that nice one on for a minute.
