  1. Let me just point out that, given the demographic of this forum, it won't be any surprise when the "no's" win in a landslide. Pose the same question on a forum for people with solar panels on their houses, or Prius owners, and you'll get wildly different results.
  2. Not when there's a Cricket involved, apparently.
  3. If I can nail down a pattern that's a tad less of a PIA than the E78 Sinister Stone, I may in fact do some kind of similar stonefly...yet to be decided.
  4. I might be sending SJWs anyway. Not really, but sorry guys, I don't tie at production speed, so it will be something relatively simple. But I promise it won't be round and made of McFly Foam.
  5. And this was, in fact, a father/son duo. The son stared at me expressionless as good 'ol Dad enlightened us with his wisdom. That kid's got no chance.
  6. I'm cool with it. I've been wanting some of Leonard's creations for a while anyway...
  7. 28 was almost completely clear today, but won't be for long. I asked a couple guys with a bucket if they were fishing with bait. One guy said no but he don't give a darn about the regs anyway and if he catches a "lunker" he's keeping it...the agents can go to hell, he said. I said okay.
  8. Wheat is way better than he lets on, he's just modest. I'm only a wannabe picker myself, but I taught my cousin everything he knows... (not really)
  9. Exactly the three I missed. Then they screwed up by telling me I know trout...what a crock. I understand trout about as well as I understand women.
  10. That's what I'm talkin' about! Killer, man. "Just pop 'em in there"...LMAO! Sick.
  11. I'll be in if we do pairs of patterns, and I'd be willing to do a third for CFR. Granted, I'll probably change my mind about that if we get more than a dozen or so participants, but having a single fly of any kind in my box is kind of useless. The theme matters not to me.
  12. Thanks for the tip, Brian. And don't keep us waiting for your material either...always look forward to your videos.
  13. Thanks man. I did it on Windows Live Movie Maker (free). I'm sure there are better programs out there. It was my first try with a slideshow and I had no idea what I was doing, so I'm surprised it worked at all. On future projects I'd like to cut in some videos like you do...your stuff is on another level, gotta get there eventually. I can't take credit for most of the best shots, including that one. One of our boys got the fox pics during a trip somewhere on the White, I believe. I'm not sure about the story, except that it's apparently one very laid-back or ballsy fox.
  14. Gracias amigos. It's been a great year. Looking forward to the final trip in a couple weeks!
  15. Cam jaws? C-clamp or pedestal?
  16. And it ain't over yet...
  17. You never know, he is Willie, after all. If Keith Richards is still alive, Willie may live to 150.
  18. That was a great story Wrench. The donation plate part was classic.
  19. Paul's Bait and Tackle in St. Louis services reels. I've had some Shimanos done there...no complaints.
  20. Better get the fish smell out of that net before you sell it to a fly shop.
  21. I once caught a bowfin in a neighborhood pond when I was a kid. I have no idea how it got in there, but I'm certain that's what it was. Maybe not the coolest, but definitely the most surprising.
  22. I caught one last week no bigger than 5", probably no bigger than 4". Looked wild to me, but whaddo I know. OTF is right...if they can spawn and self-sustain in the LP, they can do it in the Current, too. I'd venture to guess their biggest problem in the Current is the young-of-the-year rainbows being eaten by the browns.
  23. When I fished at Baptist last Wednesday, I walked back down from Tan Vat up on the bank to get a bird's eye view of the stream. I didn't spot many fish, but I saw about a 14" rainbow hovering over and protecting a what was pretty obviously a redd...whether or not its eggs will successfully make it to fry and beyond I suppose is debatable, but it was clearly spawning activity.
  24. Shimano Citica...$120 retail, you can find them for $100 or less on ebay.
