  1. No... that's what happens after they mate... kind of like a caddis...
  2. Oh man... A Whatta-Whatta with cheese... NIRVANA!!! Not the same since Mr. Feltner passed, but still a great burger. I was travelling with a co-worker on I-40 a few years ago and he told me his brother went to Tech and was always talking about Whatta-Burger. Well, we pulled into R'ville about lunch time and I introduced him to Mr. Feltner's creation. He said he now knew why his brother had said it was the best hamburger in the world!! Yeah, the last time I was through there, I didn't recognize anything but Tucker Coliseum... Sure has changed since I was roaming the halls of Dean Hall and getting caught in Roush and Jones... Uh... I mean.. uh... visiting girls in the lobby of Roush and Jones...
  3. Where's my Kryptonite? Most people form Texas think that about ALL things Texan... Armadillos are Texans by way of Central America... Purty deep... Purty high... Purty fast... Three words.... Thirty Ought Six... hollow point... (OK... FIVE words...)
  4. Robert, Greetings from another ATU alumnus! (Class of '81) You'll find another ATU grad guiding on the BS and Norfork tailwaters. A fellow by the name of John Wilson... who some folks around the fly fishing community have heard of... Who are you talking about from Tulsa that does some guiding on the White? I've duck hunted quite a bit in the Sunken Lands WMA east of Jonesboro, AR so thanks for all your help on the migratory bird program. Rain stopped you from fishing? The fish don't know it's rainin'... Now lightning is another matter... especially with a nine foot long lightning rod in your hand... Come on up to Branson sometime and we'll introduce you to the world of Taneycomo night time slow stripping...
  5. WHOA!!!! Mrs Ducky!!!! Nice fly!!! Now I know why Mr Ducky married you... for your FLY TYING ABILITY!!! Uh... did I say that?
  6. OK... show you MY age... I was excited when I went by Lindsey's a few years ago and met Sonny Martin... former morning DJ for KAAY radio in Little Rock... That guy helped form my teen years!!! on AM radio!!!!!!!!!! (Anyone remember "Beaker Street?"... Dano?)
  7. You mean this ain't a kegger? No scantly clad college girls in a wet tee-shirt contest? OK... I'm out... JUST kiddin'... Can't wait to see the faces on the guys when you pull out that top secret fly you catch all of them pheeshes on at night...
  8. From the east, you can take the Hwy B exit (exit 96) and take Hwy B south, or go on to Strafford and take exit 88 and get on 125 south. Both will take you to Hwy 60. Go west on 60 to the 60/65 interchange. I would bet the Strafford exit will be a bit crowded, but still better than going on to the 65/I-44 interchange.
  9. So you're liking that brass pole, huh? Sounds like a good one even if you had to work for them...
  10. If anyone wants a lesson on how NOT to catch fish... I'll be glad to show you... I'll be there... Wait... make that the Wyatt Earp response to Johnny Ringo's message to meet him by the big oak tree.... I'LL BE THERE!!!! YOU TELL 'IM I'LL BE THERE!!!!!
  11. HE may want me to, but I think Cindy will veto His take on that one... Hey... she let me be a trout bum a couple of years back... I may have to do that again...

  13. You just described half the night fishermen...
  14. Great pictures!! Makes me want to go even more now!!! The cabin looks like our house after Cindy has been gone for a couple of days... Hmmmm.... picture 215 in the album... Was that taken at the Gauntlet on Taney?....
  15. Good to meet you too, Kerry... Now you'll be hooked on night fishing for sure... So get ready to lose a lot of sleep... Nathan... You'll find that most of that group that was there are very much the (as Michael quotes from a bumper sticker) "SHUT UP AND FISH!" types... So if we don't say hi on the water, don't fret... In the parking lot, get ready to "rock 'n' roll!" But on the water, it's "all bid'ness..." We do tend to have a good time in the parking lot... After all that stripping, we need to unwind...
  16. Well, it happens... I guess you'll add a bit of trout to the salmon feast now...
  17. Stay dry, dude!!! We're patiently waiting on those pics... but you have your priorities...
  18. The campground in Mammoth plus most of the fishermen that live there will fight tooth and nail against ANY catch and release on the Spring. It's a shame. There are a few areas that would make GREAT C&R trophy areas and produce bigger trout. I don't see that happening anytime soon, though... Although there is a "grass roots" effort to get one in place...
  19. Three? Who are the second and third one? I'll leave the "one" to your imagination... Happy Independance Day!!!
  20. Troutn... Who is this "Mr Beeson" you speak of...? I only require Duckydoty and Leonard to call me that.... MTB... good meeting you and talking with you and the Grand Master Poo-Pah Slow Stripper this afternoon. Hope to see you guys around midnight...
  21. Capt, Most of us won't even get to Taney until 10pm or midnight... 4pm is the crack of dawn for the night fishing bunch... Yep... they cranked up 4 units at 3pm. Guess they need to get rid of all this rain...
  22. LMW!!!!! Where ya been, Bud?
  23. Why are you going first thing in the morning, Capt E?
  24. My tippet....................
  25. OOPS... that's suppose to be 07/03/07... Not sure, Ducky... I'll probably make it an early night... depends on "current generation" after I get off work... and any honey-dos...
