Pheesh porn freak... Nice pheesh... Leech pattern, eh? (Don't give ALL the secrets away... except to me... ) -
The "Survivor Nixa" story on my website talked about my 11 year old step-daughter being bored all while the electricity was out - no TV, no video games, no electronics period. It was a bit of an exaggeration in that she enjoyed reading by flashlight and did quite well. BUT... when I was a kid and the lights were out during a snowstorm, I was out with my BB gun or better (as I got older) and discovering what was for supper... You bet... one "I'm bored" and I would have been splitting wood for the fireplace...

2007 Fly Fishing World Championships

Who are their sponsors? I know sponsoring BASS fishermen is much more popular here, but seems the US should have enough sponsorship to keep the team going. Of course, travelling around Europe is about like travelling around Texas... But that's only part of it. I've heard the Czechs and Portugese are tough customers in fly fishing. -
Yellow bears in red shirts like hunny better... What do tiggers like? You know... T - I - double-guh - er... TIGGER! The wonderful thing about tiggers Is tiggers are wonderful things! Their tops are made out of rubber Their bottoms are made out of springs! They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one! IIIIIII'm... the only ONE! (oh bother!)

If nothing happens, I may just make Friday night. I hope Michael has my request list ready to crank up... You can fan the water with your hand, call out "WOW! What a PHEESH!!!" and claim you released a 32 inch brown... You can multiply your number to hand by 3 to 5... You can sneak up on (the name shall remain blank until I've had a chance to do this) and squawk like a heron and watch him walk on water... You can't see the snakes swimming between your legs... You can watch Leonard cast that light stick and remember those days in the 70s that you can't remember... You can hang around the back of Leonard's van and help him get rid of a bunch of those flies he carries around with him... (At least that's what Duckydoty told me... )

Pretty good finish I'd say. What did the team finish last year? So, give us your opinion on what the French, Spainish, Portugese and Czechs are doing right that the US doesn't seem to be able to pick up on... Is it the stream? Technique? Flies? S#!thouse luck? Seems those guys are always on top... -
Is there an echo in here?

Geez, guys... ants, finches, and bees need "love" and nectar too, ya know... Let's see... maybe you could stand guard with a BB gun and shoot any ants that crawl to the feeder... Or maybe you could figger out how those magician fellers make them purty young assistants levitate in mid-air and do the same with your feeders... Or... use the Ortho...

Wayne, I'm Poppa... Those were my grandkids asking me to watch "Dumbo" with them... Of course that was the first time I saw Dumbo since when I was a kid, the theater was 12 miles from home and my parents didn't have a dime to give me to get in... YOU were lucky...

OK... I admit... I'm pretty partial to my fishing equipment... BUT!!!... Man slain over fishing pole the associated press Poplar Bluff — A southeast Missouri man died in the hours after he was involved in a fight over fishing poles. Tommy Haugen, 23, of the Stringtown area was pronounced dead Monday morning at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs said Haugen accused a 17-year-old of stealing fishing poles from Haugen's friend, prompting a confrontation Sunday night in the teen's driveway. The teenager allegedly hit the victim in the head once with an iron pipe. The 17-year-old suspect is being held.

Only to add to what JD said, find a fly fishing buddy (about any of us are more than happy to oblige) to help you learn how to cast and fish with a fly rod. It IS fun, but a lot easier and more fun if you learn the proper casting techniques instead of just going out and trying to cast like you would a spinning rig. As I said, almost any fly fisherman is more than happy to help introduce you to the fly fishing world... hey... it's a chance to go fishin'...

GF, Five grandkids who would raid the video shelf that grandma had collected for them (mostly Disney movies) and a "Poppa... will you watch this one with me?" and you will forget the rod and reel for a couple of hours... Now another one on the way (the first with my new bride) and I can't wait to hear that "Poppa... will you..." question again.

You guys are not Disney fans... never watched Dumbo... And Google is a WONDERFUL reference for such things as lyrics from old songs...

Where should I take the fambly this weekend?
Terry Beeson replied to troutchaser's topic in General Angling Discussion
Jshade, GOOD ONE!!!! If you are at riveside... Just below those falls and to the "left" is a nice shelf.... The brown in my avitar lives there if nobody took him home for supper... Just around the bend upstream is Bayou Access and you may have to elbow your way in around a few bait fishermen, but yes, good fishing from those falls up to the head of Bayou. Dodge the canoe hatch by fishing these in the morning, then move up to Dam 3 in the afternoon after the last canoe launch. Yes, Riverside is a good family campground. None of the rowdy s#!t there like at Many Islands and down... -

My opinion - Add some Copper Johns to your arsenal if you don't alread have them, SJWs if the water is up or even if it's not... Then some soft hackles and the good ol' standby Wooly Bugger. Wouldn't hurt to have some sculpin patterns if you want to venture out at night in search of the next world record... In the "scud" and "sowbug" line, don't forget about Trout Crack... I've done well on the Norfork with them...
