  1. But did it improve the flavor of the coffee? Well, it's according to actually what the material is, but as far as dye, some guys use kool-aid and easter egg dye or even food coloring to dye their materials. If this won't do it, you might try some Rit fabric dye... Have you read my "Obsession" story? Click here... You should look up Sister Carol Anne Corley down in Ft Smith (I believe that's where she is) known as the "Fly-Tying Nun"... She has some really good ideas for fly fishing and tying on a budget using stuff like the discarded toy hair...
  2. Now where do I know that name - Melvin Bramlett? My mom taught Roger and Skippy, but the other boys were older... Another ol' time bluegrasser would be Boone Carlon whou would actually put on fiddle clinics at several bluegrass festivals around. Boone grew up in my grandparent's and parent's back yard. In fact, my dad use to say that Boone and a couple other of the Carlon kids ate dinner at their house more than at their own. And in fact, he is building a house next door to my mom now. As for the "locals" I asked about, my band use to play a lot at the Junction 659 Club there in Choctaw and those two were big fans and regulars when we played there. In fact, when we broke up, our last gig was there and we presented Donald with one of our band signs to show our appreciation for being there every time we played an even travelling a long distance to hear us at other clubs. Oh... by the way... one of my Christmas presents from my sister this year... a jar of Italian sausages from one of the Andrews men from Catholic Point. Now if I can just get her to give me 12 jars so they will last all year...
  3. I'll bring my appetite... Just kidding... but can't commit right now. Things are pretty busy with the job thing and other family duties... But will try to make it and can offer another fish cooker and huspuppies if I do make it...
  4. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode... with George... "I WAS IN THE POOL!!!!" Now I can just tell my wife... "I WAS IN TANEY!!!!!"
  5. LOTS of LONG DISTANCE casting practice with an 8, 9, or 10 wt... for sure...
  6. Made the picnic? Hell, I went to elementary school at Center Ridge with most of the DeSalvos, Paladinos, Rossis, Harts, and Andrews kids... My band played the NYE party at Catholic Point with Dago Red flowing until about 2 am followed by HOMEMADE Italian sausage and biscuits and scrambled eggs... There are several picnics/bizzares around there - Catholic Point, Saint Vincent, and Sacred Heart in Morrilton. Don't know the dates, but can get the info for you. A bit off season for Italian sausage, but if you stop by the Andrews Liquor Store just south of Center Ridge, or Rossi's Winery just south of there, they can clue you in. Sacred Heart Bizzare is THIS WEEKEND!!!!Click here for more info... The spaghetti supper will rival the one at Catholic Point/St Joseph... If you like Bluegrass music, the Wooten Brothers show is August 2,3,4 there also at Roger Wooten Memorial Bluegrass Park. I went to school with the Wootens and knew Roger well - one of the best fiddle players around - before he was tragically killed in an auto accident back in the 80s. If you stop in the liquor store, ask them if they know me or my sister, Nicki Mourot (pronounced "morrow".) I bet they'll know one of us... or my mom... Tell 'em I sent you on a "wild Italian sausage" chase... By the way... You don't happen to know a girl around Dennard named Brenda with the nickname "Bo" do you? Or a guy named Donald "Bear" Treet from around Bee Branch?
  7. You just went so early because you knew Leonard wouldn't be there and you could actually fish and not have to net all his fish... By the way... On an 8 wt rod? After breaking off a few Monday, I'm going back to the 8 lb. tippet...
  8. What means this word "vacation" you speak of? This word is alien to me...

  13. I want to know what the "composite" is based on... Unbreakable? Let them send me one and test it for a few days... I can break an anvil with a rubber hammer...
  14. Carp on a fly is a big thing in many areas. There are several tournaments keying in on fly fishing for carp. Click here and read this info.... Then tell me who has the uglier mug... the Carp or Zach...
  15. Tailing loop? You? Say it ain't so!! I don't get the mag since I'm on Nixa's 'lectricity... Wonder if there is an online version?
  16. Chief, If they told me I could only fish one bait forever (outside the fly world) it would be an H&H... But for smallies, that Rebel Craw is hard to beat.
