  1. Dang, Brian... we're gonna have to get you to do a program on ROLF and the NFW next year at Conclave... Then you'll HAVE to attend...
  2. You can't, Michael... you have to stay and go to the board meeting. Besides... you'll be too "I" to "D"... Oh... and don't forget Conway. He's coming back too... And NO.... I'M picking them UP at the airport on Wednesday and taking them down. By the way... Can I borrow your truck that day?
  3. You ARE going to pop it over a campfire and not use electricity, right Ronnie? OK... The dams on the White River system (and Tennessee, etc., etc., etc.) were all built for generating electricity first with the added benefit of lakes that would provide recreation and therefore tourism along the system. THEN trout were introduced as ANOTHER added bonus to make up for the loss of native fish in the tail waters. Now comes the problem of which one has the biggest clout. Tourism dollars or clean energy. I want both...
  4. Conclave is only 4 weeks from today!!! Who's planning on going? Anyone coming back to Springfield on Saturday night? I might have a special bonus for you...
  5. I think Dan and John actually tie this pattern a little bit differently from each other, but both very effective. I have one tied by John and I think I have one somewhere that Dan tied for me. The one on your link, Daddy-O is John's I'm sure. The reason nobody has it in stock is because Dan has not sold the pattern, or at least the last I knew that was right... I think he was waiting on Umpqua to pick it up?
  6. Chief, I've had really good experiences with PayPal myself. I've bought and sold on eBay and other sites using PayPal to pay with. One thing you can do is set up a PayPal secure "credit card" that is only good paying through them. Makes it nice that you don't put your personal number out there on the net. The way it works is you set up and account and how you are going to transfer funds to PayPal. I have mine set up with a credit card (for "emergency" things) and my bank account. When you pay with PayPal, you basically tell PayPal where to get the money from and they pull it from your account and send it to the person you are paying via their PayPal account. Basically, it's a EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) service to make small payments more efficiently between users. It made eBay even more popular. I've used it for eBay, selling products to friends, buying products on other sites that take paypal, and sending money to someone instead of using Western Union. Receiving payment is easy as well. PayPal basically puts the payment in your account. You can do one of three things, use the money for PayPal transactions, or have them cut you a check sent in the mail, or transfer the money to your bank account. The only fee I've encountered is for a check mailed to you instead of a direct deposit to your account. I did have a compromise of my account one time about 4 years ago, but PayPal made everything right and did not take too long to do it. They are enhancing their security all the time which is a good thing too. I've been using PayPal for several years now with no complaints. I'm using it to take payments for my book and will let you know if there are any problems there. I'm sure someone will have a horror story, but my experience has been great.
  7. Hey Dano... What was Zach's post about? I've got him on ignore...
  8. I would like to see the FFF hire me at a six figure salary to ride in a drift boat, hunt, and fish with board members of the FFF on numerous occasions across the US, Canada, and other places throughout the year... All expenses paid... Oh... and habitat improvement... OK... on a more serious note... (even though I would seriously accept that position above) I would like the FFF to get more involved in local regulations and legislation. We don't seem to have the voice that TU has and they don't have a big voice.
  9. Spare editor's copy? Well, I have the Word document file and a pdf file... Which links are not working? My website was on geocities and they are shutting down, so yeah, that one doesn't... I need to change that...
  10. Here, Ronnie... I'll help you...

  13. Polypropylene is a VERY common plastic and covers a VERY broad list of thermoplastics. Whomever came up with this one did NOT do their homework. Propylene is not near the problem as Styrene. By the way... You better keep any watercraft off the rivers... as well as your rods that have "plastic" reel seats... and a host of other products that would fall under the "polypropylene" umbrella.... yep... even the umbrella...
