  1. I have a 17' aluminum canoe. It's too loud.
  2. Don's Crawfish and Sneaky Pete flies. A section dedicated to what is currently working in the surrounding area.
  3. Hi, Dad!
  4. Great information, guys. Exactly what I needed.
  5. So I've been trying to make heads and tails of the streamflow website, but I really have no idea how to understand the data. Would someone like to take a stab and explaining to the rookies like me out there?
  6. Is OAF this forum? If so, I'm present and accounted for.
  7. The measurements are not accurate? That's good to know. Do you have a net you recommend for wading? It doesn't need to have a scale of any sort.
  8. http://www.themeasurenet.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=24 There are three sizes to choose from: large, medium, and small. Is the medium OK for wade fishing, or is it too big or too heavy? Would the small be better?
  9. Nice pigs, bro. Can't wait to get down there again.
  10. Thanks!
  11. Chad is my #1 fishing buddy. We recently did Eleven Point with Brian Sloss and then waded around the Current a few weeks ago. Mostly, we hunt the bass around Columbia. Maries has quickly become our favorite place to fish.
  12. Amen, brother. The browns on dries are amazing. The Green is my favorite trout river. For those that haven't seen the Green, here are the photo albums from my two trips: http://picasaweb.google.com/maxdrown/Green...e2008AllPhotos# http://picasaweb.google.com/maxdrown/200905GreenRiver#
  13. What does that mean? If you don't mind me asking ...
  14. I live in Columbia. Let me know if you can use any help.
  15. Thanks for the list of flies. I had a hard time losing flies on the bottom last trip. I don't really know how to fish most of the flies. Any suggestions on working techniques?
  16. Brian, I would like to attend this next year. Do you email out an announcement or send out a newsletter or anything? So I can plan ahead ...
  17. We did try to do that. In fact, I lost quite a few flies to snags on the bottom. It's very possible I didn't have the proper "action" on the flies tho.
  18. Aye, it was a perfect day on a beautiful river.
  19. We didn't get back until very late on Saturday and had church this morning. So, I'm reporting back as soon as I could! The trip was a total blast. We had a great time. The river looked high and murky. We only caught two trout and two shiners. We tried a bunch of different wet and dry flies. I'm sure the fish are there, but we didn't know how to get to them. We fished half the day right outside of the park and the second day at Tan Vat. All three of us ended up having waders, thank goodness. I'll post some photos asap.
  20. You guys are the best. Thanks so much.
  21. One last question before I try to sleep again, what flies will work at Tan Vat? And how to fish them?
  22. Please tell me where to park. I think we'll be going to Tan Vat like you have recommended. I was supposed to be sleeping hours ago, but everytime I close my eyes all I can think of is a sinking indicator and a rising rainbow.
  23. Thanks! We're going to give Little Piney a go anyways. It's much closer. Worst case, we can explore the area.
