  1. I second that. Easily my favorite trip on the NFOW. Lets plan another trip soon!
  2. Motha Trucka that thing is fat! Enjoyed the story. Thanks for the post.
  3. No, still haven't found it yet. Thanks for helping out, Gavin. You too Chris.
  4. I fished from Patrick to the PP bridge last thurs and fri, and I'm pretty sure I left my net on the last gravel bar just upstream from PP on thurs evening. It's kind of an unusual looking net with the frame being blue carbon fiber and the bottom of the net itself being flat. Kinda looks like an oversized tennis racket. Unless someone was floating really late on thurs it was most likely picked up early fri morning or just after noon. I was with a group of 4 guys with two drift boats on fri so if you passed us up and happened to pick it up I would really appreciate it if I could have it back. I'll even give you $50 for your troubles. Thanks Jeremy 6364749027
  5. I'm selling a Whiter River CV2 9'8wt for my friend. It hasn't seen the water so it is near perfect condition. Comes with White River reel, rod tube and the detachable fighting butt. He's asking $100. 6364749027 I live in Springfield
  6. You're driving me crazy with the streamer talk. I'm gonna have to make it down there soon. Would like to make another video anyway. Guess I'll be "attempting" to stand up in a kayak. Thanks for the post.
  7. Man! I knew I should have kept that pic out.
  8. That's enough to make me stay home and catch up on my fly tying for the late winter/early spring. I'll spread the word.
  9. Thanks everyone for the nice comments about my video. It was a lot of fun to make, and I plan on doing more videos in the future. Lilley, the camera is made by GoPro. I think it's specifically designed for extreme sports. Comes with a clear casing that is waterproof down to 180 feet.
  10. We floated from ROLF to Blair, and pretty much caught fish throughout that whole stretch except for down close to the bridge. Wish I knew why the rubber legs aren't working to well. And, why was it that they would only take the olive leech. I forgot I did try the brown and black leeches too, but came up with nothing. Maybe it had something to do with the weather or the water flow. I think we timed our float just right because that cold front started to hit right as we were taking out.
  11. When I go fishing I usually go by myself, but last weekend I had a chance to take a park fishermen to the NFOW river so he could catch some REAL trout. He was absolutely amazed at the color of the rainbows and how well they put up a good fight. The funny thing was I spent all day Saturday tying enough rubber legs for both of us, and almost all the fish we caught came on an olive bugger or an olive mohair leech. In fact, my friend caught all his trout on the bugger and each hookup came as his drift went into the swing. I was throwing black, smoke, brown, ginger/olive rubber legs, olive or blue psycho princes, and san juans, but never got bit until I dropped an olive mohair off my rubber legs. Quite different from every other time I've come down. I'm kinda glad that happened so I know what might work better next time I fish in similar conditions. I also got to try out the new HD camera, but later realized how quickly the battery goes dead when the camera is set at its' highest resolution. I hooked into a better brown with a big articulated streamer, but only got the first few seconds before the battery went dead. Oh well. One of my favorite times on the NFOW Short video clip: might try to upload in better quality later
