  1. Does anyone have any idea what their plans are for water releases tomorrow? Can anyone post a picture of Outlet 1 and 2 at about the current flow level?
  2. Korkers Redside. They are comfortable and for the $125 I paid, I got the boots and the Kling-On rubber sole and the studded Kling-On rubber soles. I am thoroughly impressed with them. They fit well, are comfortable and have pretty decent traction.
  3. True Ness. A coworker, who also knows how to differentiate a cougar from a bobcat, saw one crossing a road out by the lake at La Cygne at work last summer.
  4. I have first hand knowledge of a cub being seen around La Cygne, KS, three miles from the state line. If MDC or KDWP did their due diligence in this matter and actually attempted to survey the populations, they would find more than they are currently banking on having.
  5. JD, as Justin has stated, there is no gray area there. EvD gives us the RIGHT to access and use the river, water, bed, gravel bars, etc without harassment from landowners. I can respect your opinion on this, but do not discount the previous SCOM ruling. Exactly, any threat from a landowner in this situation is illegal. They are harassing a person enjoying the natural beauty and bounty of the waters legally and are therefore breaking the law.
  6. OTF, I tried to think of a tactful way of saying what you just said.
  7. For your 5wt, look for a Teeny T-130 line. It sinks at 4ips and you can fish it in riffle water for bass and trout too with a down and across wet fly swing.
  8. What are the hours at Lilley's Fly Shop or any fly shop in the area? I am needing to pickup a few flies, scuds and what not. Let me know please.
  9. Yep, whether the states (KS and MO) want to admit it or not, there are breeding populations of cougars in both states.
  10. Nope, probably just Taney. I am excited to come see what all the hubbub is about.
  11. Prater is harassing paying customers of Undercliff. That is a larger issue than just a small number of floaters. Al, you are correct, which is why I mentioned not only the Float Book, but also the list of MDC accesses on the rivers and streams of the Ozarks. I think we should try to assemble some sort of document to submit to the offices in question regarding the legality of floating these streams from state owned or managed accesses. If people wish to claim private property rights, they are in the wrong to harass floaters and this needs to be brought to light in some manner.
  12. I have everything set to go, scuds and shammys are about all I need to pick up. Thanks guys! I will post a report.
  13. Yeah, I am going to come down on Wednesday morning. If there is anyplace I can buy some flies right away, I am going to do so as all I am carrying right now are some streamers. I will be hitting the fly shop up here to grab some more flies today to toss in that trout box. The streamer box is full, but the trout, nymph box is half empty. Maybe I can squeeze some Shammys in there, along with some scuds(?)
  14. Gavin, the section of Shoal Creek in question is definitely floatable. It is below Lime Kiln, and if I am not mistaken, below Tipton Ford. There is a commercial livery on the river just above Tipton Ford, Undercliff Campground and Resort. Their floaters have been harassed by Prater as well, so they would likely be fine with any contact regarding this situation as well.
  15. Isn't the only information necessary the court documents from EvD, the streams in the float book and the list of MDC accesses on said streams? I think that should all become very easy to come by.
  16. Alrighty, Taney it is. Who wants to meet me? Ha, like meeting me is something people would be proud of...
  17. Well dammit, if I can get the wife's van situation fixed, I will probably come down that way then and meet some of you chums.
  18. Duane, I am jealous. My wife's van broke down tonight and I am in the process of fixing it, fishing Wednesday might not happen right now.
  19. Sell me on it. I need to get out and do some fishing, but honestly, I want to catch smallmouth on the fly with a sinking line, and I might do that, or I might come to Taney to wade fish the new upper end for some trout. What, oh what, shall I do?
  20. I would say that the MDC has accesses and Prater is nothing more than a prick. His act might go over in Kansas or Texas, but in Missouri, he is in the wrong everytime he harasses a floater. Undercliff could file suit against him for tampering with their business.
  21. Thanks guys!
  22. rps, I sent you a PM regarding this. Thank you for your offer.
  23. You know I am in for donation as well Chief.
  24. Sounds like a party on some gravel bars. We would be below the high water mark, pick up all of our trash and fish along the way
  25. I am coming down that way to fish this week Randy. Thread color is a tan color, but the stripper would have to be stripped as well as it was rewrapped in the past. Tan would be close enough to make it work.
