  9. Sorry for not posting sooner, but it's been busy around the house and at work. Our #2 and #3 granddaughters are coming home for the holidays. We haven't got to see the youngest yet. So you know Grandma's been keeping me busy. Work's been equally as busy as we are still down two paramedics. Anyway, the point of this post. The box went out in the mail the afternoon of the 12th. I'll post an update to the inventory tomorrow. It's been a busy shift and I'm heading to bed. Just wanted to get everyone up to speed while I had a little down time. John
  10. Great to hear you home! Glad everything went well. I'm looking forward to some "PT" with you. That's "Put and Take" on the river. Here's for a fast recovery. John
  11. I can bring a couple of more 12 packs. I'm like Leonard though, I drink Dt. Pepsi, but I'll bring some Dt. Coke along on this trip. This is really shaping up to be a real fun time. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and being able to put some faces with the names. Has anyone heard from Terry? John
  12. Thanks for the info Davy. I'll have to try the longer tippets on my next trip. Hadn't thought about that. John
  13. Congrats! Have a great time and get some pictures for those of us locked in here in the midwest. John
  14. Welcome to the site. You'll find a great bunch of guys and gals here with a ton of experience. I'm not a bait fisher, although I'm thinking of giving it a try next year, so I'll defer your question to one of them. Again, welcome! John
  15. All this talk about grits has made me hunnngray . . . John
  16. Dear Santa, Mine is but a short list this year. All I want is for the conflict to be over in the Middle East and ALL our troops to be home and safe for the holidays. Thanks Santa. John
  17. I've spent a few good nights in my Nissan Frontier! Not too uncomfortable, but give Phil a call. I think he's got his winter rates going and there very reasonable. John
  18. I'll bring a small gas grill and some "firehouse poppers." I can also bring cold drinks for lunch. TB - I'll bring the Foley "just in case." John
  19. Forsythian, I really don't know for sure what the difference is, but I would suggest it might have something to do with corrosion resistant connections and components? Maybe? John
  20. You Got it! I don't do the mouth to mouth, but I LIKE to shock! Dano, I've got a portable gas grill I can bring. It'll do six or so burgers and some hotdogs if that helps. I like the idea of inviting the MDC agent and hatchery workers. It be nice to meet them as well. John
  21. Update for 06 Dec 2006. Got Don's and Jim's boxes in today. With the deadline getting close we are only one away from having 100% returns. As of today we have gathered 82 dozen fly's, 35 spools of tippet, 26 packets of leaders and a multitude of other items including several packages of tying materials. Thanks again for all that you have done. John
  22. Looks like it's a go! I'll be bringing my son down. He'll be back for the holidays and I've promised him a trip (or two) to Taney. We won't be there until around noon though. I have to work the ambulance on New Year's Eve and won't get off until around 8:00 a.m. We'll start down right after that and it's about a 3 hour drive for us. Hope to see some of you for lunch. John
  23. Best of luck! Hope you're back on the water soon. John
  24. Thanks for posting the article Dano. John
