Thanks for the update. I'm heading down for a day trip on Tuesday. I was curious what might be working, although you can almost always count on the wooly, crackleback and the egg. I've also had a great deal of luck lately with a #16 Renegade. But that was before the rain. John

Just got back from a quick weekender at Roaring River. The water was up and running fast, color was stained but not real bad. The number 1 fly for me this weekend was a #16 Renegade. Caught all my fish but one on it. The only other producer was a Hare's Ear. I think I ended up around two dozen for the two days. Fished about 3 hours on Saturday and another 3 on Sunday. I also noticed MDC was out in force with weekend. Saw several trucks cruising the parking lots and watching. Also saw three individuals cited for various reasons. The first was in Zone 3 and using powerbait. The next two were up by the lodge but I'm not sure what they were doing wrong. It was VERY nice to see the boys out and watching. Made this old man's heart warm to see the illegal actions we watch go unpunished so much, get there just do today! John
