  1. What size line, and what type, fluorocarbon or mono are you throwing those high dollar jerkbaits on. Thanks
  2. Thanks Doug. You provide some great information.
  3. It looks like smoke colored grubs on 8 pound fluoro, and jerkbaits will be the deal. See you on the water.
  4. by the time I get there in March? As hard as your getting hammered, I'm starting to wonder. On the bright side, it's supposed to be a nice weekend:)
  5. I met him at the Iowa Elite Tournament a couple of years ago. He is a great guy. http://www.thefishingwire.com/features/223919
  6. Happy Birthday Bill !!!! Your living my dream.
  7. I'll be staying at Bill Babler's place (White River Lodge BB) March 7 - 10th. I have a brand new, never been opened Humminbird 798 (Side and down image) with transducer and high accuracy gps puck. I bought it a couple of months ago, then decided to go with a 997 instead. I just never bothered to return it. I do have one of these units up front. They are really incredible. I payed a little over $900 for this one. If interested; I'll let it go for $725 cash. I'll bring it with me March 7th.......Thanks Unit is Sold............Thanks
  8. I've decided to stay at White River Lodge. Thanks everybody.
  9. I will, if I can not find something comparable. That place has to be one of the most gorgeous places on earth.
  10. To be fair; they did offer to re-adjust the price. I told them no, since I have the feeling that they do this hoping the customer doesn't check.
  11. Big Cedar made me angry, so I cancelled my reservations. To make a long story short, I booked one of the cabins for $177 a night. When they e-mailed my confirmation, they charged me $350 per night. My wife is very disappointed Are there any cabins for rent on T.R. that compare to their cabins? Fireplace, jacuzzi, beautiful setting, lake access, etc. I would like to stay in the $150 per night range. Dates would be Feb 21st - 24th. Thanks.
  12. He was using a craw colored Wiggle Wart. I cheated though. I googled Table Rock Tournament results. It gave me the date, lure, and depth, not the location. Thanks for your reply.
  13. Anyone know what area Mark Davis fished when he won this tournament?
  14. Thanks...It is people like you that make this a great site.
  15. Thanks RPS. In the late winter do you key on the main lake or back in the creeks? On Shelbyville (my home lake) the fish are normally on the main lake bluffs right after ice-out. I read a couple of your archives, and it looks like they are mostly back in the creeks on Table Rock.
  16. Another vote for the Carbon-lite. I like them almost as much as my Loomis GLX.
  17. I fish a power plant lake in the Illinois weather, so I try not to let the weather bother me. It gets harder as I get older..LOL The whole point of this trip(For me, for the wife it is the lodge) is to get the big boat ready for tournament season, and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Hiring a guide is not really an option. I'm just looking for some general tips.
  18. The wife and I will be staying at Big Cedar Lodge February 21 - 24th. I am bringing the bass boat with me. Any bass fishing suggestions for that area (Long Creek) would be much appreciated. I fish a lot of bass tournaments, but this will be my first time on Table Rock. Thanks
