  1. Don't ask me. I can't find them either.
  2. It is on the north side the road.
  3. There is a road that comes of 215 about 1/2 mile west of the bridge. Walk down the road til it splits and then go left. That will turn into a path that goes up just down stream of a nice hole with a bluff on the east side. There is a beaver dam on the south end of the hole (underwater right now). Just below it is good as is that long hole with the bluff. It isn't great but stingers of 8 to 10 whites are usually the best you can expect. It will only last a couple more weeks. If they start dropping the water fast they will leave as well. Right after a good spring rain is good also.
  4. Well like a dummy I forgot to ask about hours. I did get the phone number 417-637-2390.
  5. I just thought I would let everyone know that there is a new bait shop at the CC bridge. To be exact it is about a half mile east of the bridge. It is called, appropriately, CC Bait Shop. The gentleman operating it seems nice and he is stocked with most basic lures and 2 types of minnows (crappie & shiners). I fished the area while I was there and did not see much caught, including by me. lol Water temp had dropped to 46.
  6. CC - 49F, good water color. A few small male whites.
  7. Few bigger crappie showing up in the CC artea. Caught 5 to 8' deep in 20 to 25' water just drifting a bobber. Water color good (probably not now after this rain) and 46.
  8. You know if my febble mind, and I do mean feeble, remembers correctly 215 use to keep going straight at Country Depot and then about 10 or 15? years ago they changed the signs so that 215 turned and went north at Country Depot and the section that continued straight west was named Y highway. Y highway goes over and crosses the lake at twin bridges. Like I say I may be totally wrong,
  9. "A while back i heard stockton dam was closed. Is it still closed and why was it closed" It was closed to allow for a new turbine to be put in place. I know the new turbine is not on line yet buut I don't know if the road is still closed or not.
  10. You are right, no rip rap on 215 bridge.

    Cc

Well I have been having some medication issues but finally mage it to the lake for a couple hours. CC water is slightly stained and looks about 2' clarity. Water temp ran around 41 F. Saw a lot of small crappie (mostly around 9") caught as well as quite a few tiny whites. I managed one small crappie and 3 largemouths. The largemouth bite was VERY light. They were running 12 to 15' deep. On a side note I looked for this years MDC Fishing Prospect Report but can not find it. Has anyone seen a copy? I did find the prospect report from last fall for Stockton. http://fishing.mdc.mo.gov/reports/103013-prospect-report-stockton-lake
  12. I have them all labeled with name and address and phone number. I have also been checked twice by agents for compliance with that new law.. No tickets.
  13. Give Flatbottom Boy a cigar!! He nailed it dead on. Spider rigging works best for me on Stockton in May and early June and again in September to mid Oct.
  14. They should be early prespawn. Probably at the mouths of spawning coves or on channel drop offs inside the bigger coves.
  15. Thanks for the good info!!
  16. Thanks everyone for your input. Sounds like I may need to buy some microtubing and run it from my pluming, down my pants leg and to the ground. lol
  17. I heard of two guys that were issued tickets by the Conservation Agent for urinationg in public. They were urinating behind a tree at the lake. That is considered an indecent public display, Both were added to the sex offenders list. I have heard that Springfield Police do the same thing to drunks who urinate in public. I was wondering if that was true about the Conservation Agents. Anyone ever hear of this?
  18. On the way in to Springfeild for church this morning we must have passed at least a dozen boats on the way to Stockton. I bet they will be suprised.
  19. Thanks for the great (but depressing) pics Zara.

    Geese

I was sort of shocked this morning. Headed to church bright an early and then did some shopping after that. But the suprise was I bet we saw over a 1000 geese total heading north!! I hope they have their tire chains on when they try to land. They are going to need it. lol Must be warmer weather around the corner. YEA!!!
  21. Twin bridges as in where H and Y highways cross Stockton.
  22. They really can't stand hte temps below 40F and God knows we have had plenty of that. lol
  23. Real good read, Thanks.
  24. The MDC map came up and ran for me just now so it is back on line.
  25. Thanks Blue79.
