  1. Man what fun! Bet you had a great time!
  2. Not yet, But i'm working on it that. I laser scanned an actual crawfish so it would be realistic. Mad man also makes realistic craws.
  3. I've heard the specks are the best to eat!
  4. If snows are actively feeding in an area they will fly low as well, if they are migrating, your are right....they fly higher than the Canadas.
  5. Look at Hoglaws post in "Personal Best", He describes "An epic hour of fishing"... so true!! Makes you wonder how many hours you have to put in before you get an hour like that. Every once in a while, everything comes together and you realize all the hard work you put in has finally paid off. But it sure doesn't happen very often and he will probably never forget that hour the rest of his life. Kind of reminds me of duck hunting in the early nineties, I hunted for years with fairly good results. One day at Truman Lake, up the Grand River arm, we caught it just right. We were calling down groups of 200-300 ducks that were so high they couldn't possibly even hear the call. We were luckily in the migration path. We tied our boats together and had 8 guns blazing. Everyone limited out easily; we were calling in huge groups just to pick out one or two greenheads (educated a bunch of ducks that day!). These are the moments in your sporting life you can count on one hand!!
  6. Ha ha, Unfortunately I was not in the boat that day. He just sent me a pic and I forward it on. He was chunkin the big blades for that one!
  7. Actually going fishing with my brother and his 14 year old son tomorrow. How about we go next week?
  8. Happy Thanksgiving to all!......Get to hear my dad say the same prayer for dinner that he has said verbatim for the last 20 years. We get to discuss which type of cranberry sauce is better. Should we have ham and turkey or just turkey? Huge life decisions. But I'm not complaining, someday they won't be around and I'll be willing to walk 10,000 miles just to hear their voice again. Anyway, have a great day everyone and please stay off the rivers, gives me more places to fish!
  9. Awesome, just awesome!!!! beautiful fish. I wouldn't tell anyone where that chunk rock pile is located. Ha ha Wind is a great thing to catch the big uns. Wiggle Warts have always been my favorite crank bait.
  10. I have to agree with that!
  11. Probably Green Pumpkin, or some version of that
  12. Can't wait to see, man I love that color Pumpkin Pie, BTW I love the description of the technique.....just plain fun!
  13. Yeah, in order to get it free, I had to work on his schedule. I should have the mold back next week. I'll keep ya posted
  14. Yes, they will catch fish! I mean look at a tube, they dont look like anything but still catch fish!
  15. First of all, anyone should know there is no way Obama is a Muslim because of his stance on homosexuals, Devout Muslims would never tolerate that. But calling big business racist is as Eric says "A broad brush stroke". That's about as ridiculous as me saying that all occupy Wall Streeters are anti-sematic. Glad you aren't shy about your christianity though, we need more of that around here. I'm glad your passionate about conservation too, So am I
  16. This is my first attempt at the mold making. I'm going to look up a 4" sensation and I'll let you know
  17. Sorry Tim, I just can't get over you calling people racists and lumping every one who drives a BMW as someone who wants to act important. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday or something?
  18. Well said
  19. I didn't take it the wrong way, I agree with you, I love pictures
  20. Joe, Here are the pics from the SMA guys that caught their personal best smallies along with an explanation below. The guy who caught the fish walking the dog catches enough big fish that he doesn't take any pics unless it's a trophy.
  21. That's about as strange as you can get...Those red eared turtles seem to never get to much bigger than the one you hooked in the foot. It seems like I don't see those as often as I used to.
