Yeah, it was a little chopper just over the pitcher's glove. Kozma barehanded and threw just wide to first pulling Adams off the bag. Not Kozma's fault he did everything he could and made a good play to just get the throw off. Just a bad break. Most of the Cards players looked kind of stunned. Zimmmerman even sounded a bit embarrassed that was the hit that broke it up.

Broken up by an infield single with 2 outs in the 9th. That was tough to watch, but Wacha pitched great.

Nice report and looks like a good time despite the heat. Horseflies...freaking hate them. 2 weeks ago I got dived bombed bad on the Mineral Fork. Had one land on my cheek. My escape was less than graceful...ate it bad. Bastards.

Thanks Dutch. I put some down last night and will hopefully finish up by Sunday. I am worried about watering it though. It is big yard and nearly impossible to keep it damp until the seed germinates.

It is my wife' birthday this weekend so my football watching will be limited tomorrow as we will be hanging out with her family. They like to drink though...and I will need too as well.

I fished that lake at st. Peter's golf course many moons ago. The one time I had a chance to break 40 (back yhen it was 9 holes) # 9 was a 600 yard par 5. The lake was on the right. I am lefty and rarely hooked the ball. I put 4 in that stupid lake. I would hit busch too...good trout fishing in the winter and lots of ponds to explore too.

So I am over seeding this fall, but with the hot weather and dry conditions I held off putting down any seed. I am kind of thinking I need to do it in the next couple days, but with no rain in the forecast it is impossible to keep the ground moist all the time. Just not enough time between the new baby and work. When do you guys usually put down seed? It is to late? Last year was late August for me and it turned out pretty well, but my water bill was off the charts.

My expectation's are that I will fish a lot less than I would like, but I am really looking forward to a 3 day trip next weekend.

It stays mostly between my fishing partner and I, but rivers like the Current are not a secret so while we won't give spots we caught fish,I feel fine sharing the river if it is well known. I may hold back a bit if we find a hot spot though.

It is not that I think he is better than Alex Smith, but that I would like to see him make it as a starter some day (0dd's are he is not that guy, but I will root for him). I think he is a good back up considering the other options. Lot's of young quarterbacks take to many sacks...usually indicative of indecision or trying to make a play. Better than happy feet.

I would say it depends if your fishing saltwater or freshwater. Most fresh water fish can be caught and corralled without out to much difficulty or danger to you or the fish. Large Saltwater fish (like sharks) can be a bit more problematic and I think the leader definition is fine for these fish...no reason to lose a hand if you don't need to. -
