until you get to rainbow spring there are no trout, once you get past it trout water all the way to justin's camp.
Rainbow spring is the biggest point of interest IMO in that float. You will possibly have to portage over warren bridge. I had to lay down in my yak sunday to get under patrick. Be sure to take your wife to the spring at patrick bridge.
I am down for it. Don't know how much fishing I would do but I will partake in the cold beverages.
We floated NFoW yesterday for the first time this year and it was perfect.
Temp was in the 90s and the water was up, I had to lay down in the yak to make itunder Patrick bridge
If they get a tourny in my neck of the woods I would love to do it. If they did it centered in mtn home with a 60 mile radius it would cover a huge number of places.
yesterday we floated the north fork and I got pretty pissed at all the "no landing" and "no tresspassing" signs. The landowner doesnt own the gravel bar.
2 units on norfork make me sweat, even in january. IF we only had 8 units on BS then I would not think twice about it. However with 17 floodgates we have a total of 80k cf/s and the water is appearing to move really fast from below the dam.
I will do that, thanks.
It appears to be moving along quite a bit faster because they are dumping 80k cf/s. I have been on norfork when they are generating two full units and I was thinking it would compare to that
2k is what I found as well. I havent ever pulled 2k pounds, I would not try to pull a 2k pound boat up a steep ramp. I have no problems with my riverboat but my setup is light.
I have never snagged gar but when I was yuounger I used to fish for them on the brazos and navasota river. we fished for alligator gar and used perch for bait.
