thursday I was out on the white thursday with no generators running, it was definetly rough on the prop. Is it possible to fish on the weekends or are there too many party people?
I am wanting to start fishing the eleven point. I want to fish for smallies. I have crossed it quite a few times but never fished it.
Can I take a non jet powered boat down it? I have a 18x36 Jon boat with a 9.9 that I use on the Buffalo and white rivers.
Can I camp anywhere along the river or just specific spots?
What are the bag limits for things like goggleye and catfish?
Who does shuttles on the lower end of the river and what are the costs?
I fished the buffalo Thursday and caught 9 brownies in about 4 hours. The fishing was tough because the water was dropping so fast(the white was running 0 units). I caught my biggest fish on a pumpkinseed tube on a scrounger head.
I think the color your refering to is watermelon seed.
I have matzuo size 6 and 8 circle hooks that I keep in my tackle box. I usually use crankbaits, countdowns, and jigs, but I have heard that nothing catches big browns like sculpins.
I am resurrecting a old post because I have a few questions about sculpins.
1)what is the proper way to rig them?
2)where is the best place/method for fishing them?
Today is the third time I have tried them out and got zero bites.
Fishing was good. We fished the buffalo from 6:30am to about 11:00 am(caught some nice brownies) and after a quick lunch at the ramp we headed up towards crooked creek. the water was LOW!!!!!!!!! I swear it took us an hour to get up the shoal that is just upstream from the ramp. We were the only people to even try other than a guy in a sweet inboard jet boat. That thing flew up the rapids.
I caught probably 20 rainbows and a runt brown(15"). caught a few on a black/chrome crankbait but a large portion were caught on a 1/16"oz zigjig. about 4pm the fishing dropped to a standstill. Took forever to catch one last fish to finish our limit.
I have been waiting for this for months! no generation!! We are going to buffalo city and going up the buffalo at dawn but once the water drops we are going up river to hopefully tear up trout. See ya'll on the water.
I posted this in the crooked creek forum but got no response so I figured I would try here. The wife and I are wanting to make a two day float this weekend and crooked creek is the best place I can think of(everywhere else will be packed) I was thinking of puttig in at Bruno and floating to the slab.
in my freezer right now I have about 5-6lb of white bass caught this spring, 3lb or so of rainbow trout waiting to get canned, and about 4lb of redfish the wife and I caught new years. I love eating fish and the wife hates it...no one is perfect I guess.
Another thing to consider is this well was not a "producing" well yet. BP is based in Britain and very likely pays more taxes there than they would here
Those are dangerous words. Using your logic if you get a raise the person below you has a right to one before you. Its all this talk of fairness that caused this mess
