  1. if your going to spam our forum, at least edit the post to say ozark anglers instead of TFF(I am a member there too)
  2. Table rock lake should already have enforcement from the corps. Game wardens should never have to worry about it.
  3. no big deal to me. you know me, and have probably seen my boat on tinboats. We both know how people on this website can be though.
  4. One thing not brought up in the thread that I have noticed is game wardens. Doesn't every county have at least one game warden? They would be perfect for the job of enforcing laws on rivers, since they have more jurisdiction than anyone in the state. And what do they do when its not hunting season??
  5. that would up the ante for people wanting to run the rivers. before I had my jet going up the 11pt was definetly rough
  6. Sounds like New york state. Everyone in the state pays taxes to prop up New york city. No thank you
  7. right now the drunk floaters are keeping the rivers flowing. wheres my beer??
  8. father of the year!
  9. on a monday in april they can harass me since I do 90% of my fishing on mondays, and enjoy every minute of it
  10. We already pay to use the access by having a fishing license, at least in AR.
  11. so your saying that we should force people to pay to use something that should be free?
  12. I agree with justin. Trash is bad obviously, but saying that it destroys the river is absurd. Keep cows out of the river if you want to actually do something. Stop logging. I actually believe many of you people just do not like what other people do on the river, so you don't want them there.
  13. Demand is low. Just because you just heard about these boats doesn't mean that these boats arent new. They have been making onboard jets for 30+ years.
  14. no meth head can afford a boat like that. Unless the ones around midwest trout bum are different than the ones around here
  15. no its too heavy. Have you wore out a royalex canoe?
  16. I ride at bricks4x4farm as often as I can, and they used to have a problem with people riding in the creek that runs through the property. They had designated crossings and the MDC closed all but three two years ago. thousands of atvs and trucks went through these, and after two years you cant tell anyone has been through them. Bricks buts up against the little black river, it looks like some prime smallie fishing in there, but I never bring a rod.
  17. yes but you would have to drill holes in your boat. I may do it to my 1448 in the next year or two.
  18. every local I have encountered on NFoW has been interested in keeping the river clean, in fact I have seen people with snorkels picking beer cans up off the bottom of the river. How much trash did you see on the southfork?
  19. apples and bananas. Honestly I am not surprised to see you say it though. A truck can do immeasurably more damage than that boat, but even then, after a few months you cant tell its been there. Your ignorance astounds me. Show me a study that says dragging the bottom of the boat on a shoal destroys the river. If it does than dragging 1000 canoes per weekend over a shoal surely does the same thing. Before you ask, yes I have a jet boat. It is a massive 14x48 lowe with a equally impressive 25hp mercury. FWIW, the boat in the vid has the bottom coated with UHMMW plastic. This vid was reposted from Tinboats. Tisk, Tisk smalliebigs.
  20. cattle prices are at a all time high. if some of the big boys sold off some cattle it may actually be good for the cattle market.
  21. Where are the rivers going? These rivers will be here long after we are dead and gone. What difference would it make if the guides were fly fishing or not? Bigotry, sad but true. FWIW, I have parked my rig at Blair bridge, patrick bridge, hammond access, and james bridge without any of the "riff-raff" vandalizing or robbing me. *Since we are in the mood to throw blanket statements about people around, lets just ban people from using the a river if they are from St. Louis, KC, or springfield? I have never seen a local throwing trash into the river, so make rivers local use only? That will work for me since I live about 10 miles from the south fork, and about 35 miles from the NFoW *this is meant sarcastically, just in case everyone misses the joke(which at least half will)
  22. as dry as it is around here, it would take 6+ inches of rain to cause any flooding.
  23. I believe he is referrring to many tourny anglers who feel that people not fishing the tourny should stay out of their way.
  24. CC goes underground below yellville every year. It is the nature of the ground. south fork is low but a buddy floated it saturday and said it was ok.
  25. I think trash isnt the issue most promoters of a tax or limiting canoes on the water. It seems that the issue is there being just less(or in some cases, no) people on the river drinking. I used to find it amusing, but its getting old. If you want to do a family float, do it where you know there wont be drunken people, or do it not on a saturday. Sundays on NFoW are very tame compared to saturdays. The same argument can be made for nascar races, you don't take your kids to talladega and stay in the infield unless you want them to be around drunk and nekkid people. I feel EVERYONE has a right to use the river, even if they aren't all fishing.
