  1. x eleventy billion. I live 9 miles from lake norfork and I couldnt give a crap about fishing it. give me moving water any day of the week.
  2. not trying to hijack, but how well did it do on CC? I can see it being challenging in quite a few places.
  3. I use the hook keeper to keep the line tight.
  4. I have one of the s glass rods, the wife got it for $50 at the outlet store. Pros: you can sling the CRAP out of a crankbait with it and it is very flexible. I can chunk big baits as well as tiny ones. Cons: heavy, very heavy and the hook keeper is useless. Check out denali rods jadewood series: http://denalirods.com/?page_id=292 they are based out of Mountain Home.
  5. I have always loved snakes, thanks for the pics and link.
  6. I go by gotmuddy over on TFF.
  7. Check your messages. what a small world.
  8. the pickerel that I caught were all holding very close to cover, more like in the cover.
  9. I fished the narrows today for a few hours. I went up to morgan spring float camp. I coaxed 4 pickerel to the boat and that was it. I had one on and lost it that was 2ft and I had a 18"+ smallie chase my jerkbait but did not take it.
  10. Within ten seconds of looking at that pic I realized I know exactly where it was taken. The wife and I camped there in feb.
  11. thanks for the report, and what a beautiful fish.
  12. awesome, cant wait to see it
  13. I'm not sure the rods are made in mountain home, but the blanks are made in the US. Scott is a very nice guy to deal with. I highly recommend him
  14. I have started buying denali rods exclusively for my casting/spinning reels because they have a good warranty and the owner lives so close to me(mtn home). I have been tickled with their performance as well. I will be looking for a trout jig rod soon and I will get one from him. They have a noirwood series that costs retarded amounts of money IMO (350-400) and the owner told me that I would have no need having those because they are for "pro" anglers and people who just want to spend big money. He said the rosewood rods I have (160-ish) are just as good.
  15. get a friend to register it in arkansas, then register it in MO. AR doesnt keep titles on boats or motors.
  16. what kind of rig do they use to shock with in a river that small?
  17. the rivers I fish will have 10ft deep holes and the eleven point has holes even deeper. Is that too shallow?
  18. A properly set up jet boat will run really skinny water ON plane. heck I can run my 9.9 in a foot of water.
  19. Supreme had a model designed for using a jet that had a flat bottom. http://www.supremeboats.com/models/L207.html
  20. I want one for my riverboat, there's no telling what's sitting on the bottom of some of these rivers.
  21. If you intend to run a jet a supreme is your best bed. The hull design on the jet series boats works best with the jet motors. Shawnee hulls have more of a curve to them which will hurt jet performance some.
  22. at the level now i would say clabber shoals has 1 foot waves. at 600+ cf/s they were 3 foot(we were in the riverboat)
  23. well it is gigging season...
  24. glad you found a canoe. Al, how do you repair the royalex? junkman, your thread is now hijacked
