Members J Fry Posted February 28, 2008 Members Posted February 28, 2008 My wife and I are looking for a place to camp in March, preferrably within an hour from Ozark. We would also like to do some bank fishing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 28, 2008 Root Admin Posted February 28, 2008 Gages on Long Creek, Table Rock Lake. Get a border lakes permit and travel down into Arkansas OR stay at Cricket Creek on highway 14 on Long Creek, nice place and goo fishing. It's the first place to warmup, water and fishing wise.

Looks like a great place! My wife isn't quite ready to camp on a gravel bar on the Eleven Point, so this may be a segway. Any suggestions on fishing that part of Table Rock? Should I rent a boat, or can I fish from the bank in that area? Thanks again for the info!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 28, 2008 Root Admin Posted February 28, 2008 You'll need a boat. Fishing depends on what happens between now the then.. Water temp will be the key.
vonreed Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Oh come on J Fry. Sleeping and fishing on a gravel bar is the best, most comfortable way to camp. You just wait to sleep till you get home. But those places are the best to fish. AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
