dwiebenga Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I am coming down in late April, and I am curious how I will need to adjust my fishing with the recent rise in water. Normally, I throw a lot of finesse stuff (grub, shakeyhead, etc), carolina rig, jerkbaits, and flukes. I know that the lake will not have the "normal 10-15ft clarity", therefore what could be maybe anticipate with some stable weather? I plan on bringing my flippin' rod for the bushes. But, am not sure on color of jigs, etc. I like to throw a Wart, but will I need to change to a different color? Will there be any sight fishing? I will be in the Shell Knob area. Any advice or conversions would be appriciated. Thank you, good fishing, and good luck! Dave
Bill Babler Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 If it stops raining or even if it dosen't, the water is very clear from I would say just above the mouth of the Kings to Arkansas. Did not make it much past Emrerald Beach today, but the water is gin clear, 20 plus feet of visiblilty, at Eagle Rock to Owl Creek and Normal to better than normal up to Cedar Creek. I have a feeling as the water warms, that floating worm, will be our friend. Kind of scares me thinking about it. I believe SK will be out on Sunday, and I am hoping for a cheerful report. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
