Great Day In the Morning!!!!

My neighbor lady waved me into her kitchen. She opened up the Fridgie and in a bowl sat 38 of the prettiest morels you have ever layed a lip on.

Her brother-in-law found about 100 yesterday while they were hunting after church. Thats 138 morels, and I will tell you what, they were as nice and bright as you could ever want. Really nice size, about 5 inchers, all.

Said they found them in the Blue Eye area around old fence rows and dead limbs.

You All Can Commence the Hunt, the Season has Started.

Wonderful.. I beat the bushes and hillsides around here all weekend and came up with nothing. Checked South facing hillsides in last years cut timber, bottoms, and fencerows. Spent a few hours Sat and Sun and did not even find a toad stool. Mayapples are just starting to peek thru here.
