Members bill kelley Posted April 10, 2008 Members Posted April 10, 2008 Phil, I was at your place this weekend. The height of the water was startling then, Now It's scary. I only wish I was closer and could lend a hand somewhere. We, my son and fishing partners, will keep all of you in our prayers. You've got such a beutiful place, we'd hate to see it messed up. I'm schedualed to come down again the first of May. See you then. Radar shows clearing down there. I hope the worst is over.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 10, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 10, 2008 Radio is reporting Table Rock is adding another 13,000 cfs bringing the amount to 43,000 cfs in the next hour. Going from 20k to 30k added about 2.5 feet here so we may get another 3 feet or so. Bill said someone told him that Powersite it now underwater. There's no difference in water level between Taneycomo and upper Bull Shoals.
DOITLOOKIT Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Sorry to say, alot of more water to come. I live about a mile from Lake Springfield here on the James and the Lake is as full as it was two weeks ago. The fishing piers are under water and still rising. The river below the dam needless to say is rolling.

rps Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 If Bull has 4 and a little feet left to top of power pool, and Powersite is below water, then Bull's top of power pool means many Branson businesses and homes get wet, correct? What a mess. When this happens to the streams and rivers we fish, we talk about how the flush is good for the river. When it happens to people's homes and their livelihood, it isn't same, is it? What has boggled my mind is the number of people, the number of acres, and the number of miles the high water will affect. Lumber in Arkansas and Missouri will go through the roof once rebuilding starts.
Don Allenbaugh Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Here is a great picture of the flood gates at Norfork. I took this about noon. Don A
Danoinark Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Excellent Don. Sure is majestic. It spells out the gravity and the force of all of this for me. Thanks for posting. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
